(Yes, I realise I'm tempting The Fates by calling this a "simple" swap, but sometimes it's fun to live on the edge...!)

I tend to buy notecards, postcards and writing paper in sets, which means I always end up with zillions of things all of the same design. I suspect I'm not the only one in this situation, so thought it might be nice to refresh our stationery collections.

Here's the plan...

You'll have 3 partners, and to each of them you'll send: - 3 postcards, 3 notecards (with envelope) and 3 letter sets (where one letter set = 2 sheets of paper & 1 matching envelope).

The postcards & notecards can be handmade or store-bought (no ad-cards, though).

This is an international swap, open to people with 4.8+ rating. Newbies can join if they have a fully filled-out profile and contact me first.

Any questions, feel free to ask.

By the way, if anyone can tell me how to format a list in my 'swap description' I'd be ever so grateful - I've tried following the instructions linked to from the 'create a swap page' but they don't seem to work for me.

i'm not sure if this will work in a swap description, since i have never created a swap, but i know that when i made my profile, i just formatted everything the way i like it in Microsoft Word (bullet points, etc.) and copy and pasted it into the swap-bot text box.

I'd love to join, but I can't afford international swaps ... bummer

I just joined this swap, and I'm excited to get my partner. I hope the person who has me will read my profile for likes & dislikes before sending! I'll make sure to do the same. Thanks!

To format lists, you want to use "markdown language." It took me a bunch of researching on here to figure it out, and I found this page on wikipedia to really help. markdown

Lists can be done a couple of ways. IGNORE MY BRACKETS {} IN THESE {- An item in a bulleted (unordered) list} {- Another item in a bulleted list}

{1. An item in an enumerated (ordered) list} {2. Another item in an enumerated list}

Be sure to look at the links on the wikipedia page for more advice.

Darnit, even that formatted weird. The list items each have to have their own line, but I'm new to this, too and don't know how to format it to show you in this comment area.

Mairead and Dangerine, thanks for your help with the formatting. To be honest, I can't get anything to work for me and people seem to understand what I've written so I'll just leave it as is for now.

Fairyprincess, welcome to the swap, but I feel I should mention - in order to avoid possible disappointment - that this swap is a chance for people to offload their surplus stationery, rather than having to go out and buy anything particular, so while I'm sure people will do their best to please, there's no guarantees. If you're not happy with that, then you might want to consider dropping out.

Everyone else, hello and welcome to the swap! I'll be assigning partners tomorrow morning (I'm in the UK, so I mean morning my time). Let me know if you have any questions or problems.
