ATC covered in Stamps - USA

Does it have to be actual stamps or can stamp images be used?

Actual cancelled stamps please.

I'm trying to picture this. Do you mean cover the background with stamps? Or just use several stamps? Can we add embellishments or is it stamps only? It's too early for me to think!!!

One's I've made and received before usually the background is COVERED in stamps, either neatly beside each other or even overlapping. Then embellished as desired, then sent. I did receive one once that just had 3 stamps, I believe, that was a bit odd...but I found something I liked or appreciated about it and rated a 5heart anyway.

Hi! It has been asked if embellishments can be used. For this particular swap, please use only cancelled stamps. I may do one in the future using embellishments, but this one is strictly cancelled stamps. Please make sure the whole ATC is covered. And also make two (2) for your partner. Can they be uncancelled? I have tons of vintage ones I would love to use but they have not been used yet.

10/13/16 you may use un-cancelled if you wish. just make sure they are real stamps. no copies or anything like that. they can also be cut off the envelope, not peeled off the envelope. we want a nice image, not a torn image. overlapping is fine. a layered look is fine. On the back of the ATC, be sure to put your name, your Swap-be moniker and the date you made the ATC's, the name of the swap and any other info you wish your partner to know.

You might want to add the info about "stamps only - no embellishments" to your swap requirements. Some (me included) do not read comments on all swaps.
