I love Fairy Tales- the fair maiden, the handsome Prince, the twisted sister, the wicked stepmother, the rabbit that talks! I am obbessed with altered altoid tins! I want to combine them togther to make the most incredible imaginative altered tin- your partner will be speechless! Okay well - maybe just happy! You pick the Fairy Tale, embellish your tin until it screams I am done! Add some cool treats (relating to your tale) inside and send! Please this is a swap that is taylored to the experienced altered tin crafter. This is not for the simple crafter who has never done a tin or doesnt know how to paint a tin properly (yes there is a technique involved!). Please email me with questions. I am new, but this sure sounds fun. I love to decopage/stamp? is that considered acceptable?

Do you have resources or how-to's for a 'properly' painted tin? I have used spray paint & Testor's model pain in the past.

I use spray KILTZ primer then do what I want to them with a pint brush and paint...

CraftyBeachGirl - that sounds pretty easy. Where do you find that product? Or is that kilz that's sold at the hardware store?

I burn the paint off to get right down to the metal; then paint and seal the paint. Stay clear of the fumes when you burn.
