Description:

As a newbie to this site I understand how hard it is to get started with both type 2 and type 3 swaps so I'll be making some easy ones to help us get those stats up with.

While I may be a newbie to this site, I've got a following on IG, my own website, and Craftsy where I sell my hand embroidery & quilt patterns (& just starting on Etsy), so it's not as if I'm going to be a hit-and-run swapper / host. You can find me online by searching for Cloth and Paper Studio (or you can do it the easy way and follow the links in my profile).

The details for this swap: Number of partners you'll have: 2 What you'll send: a HANDMADE Christmas postcard addressed to each of your partners. I know that some people prefer to have their postcards sent naked vs in an envelope but I'm not going to make either or a requirement. When sending handmade postcards sometimes it's better if they go in an envelope. However, if you have a preference, please list it below in the comments. And, once you get your partners assigned, please check below to see if your partner has a preference and if so, please try to accommodate that preference. However, if you receive in an envelope and you prefer naked, do not rate lower because of it.

I know that you could easily cut the front off a Christmas card and turn it into a postcard, but let's put some effort into it ok. A sticker or two is fine, but no sticker slapping. Let's make it something that your partner will be happy to receive. Senders choice of medium: paper, fabric, etc. Personally, I'll be making quilted postcards to send. :) Remember to include your swap-bot ID so your partner can leave you a rating.

Since this is not a profile specific swap you can get started making your postcards now and have everything ready ahead of time. That way all you have to do is address and send them out. There's no reason why this should be late.

I will be hosting this swap every week until Christmas time as long as people keep signing up. So, if you're one who prefers to make things assembly line style, go for it! In the event you have leftovers, I'll be happy to arrange a private swap with you.

You can find an international version here with the same sign up / send by dates: http://www.swap-bot.com/swap/show/234076

Who can join? Newbies with a well filled out profile (see mine as an example) and have at least 15 swaps under your belt and have been rated at least 25 times. Your ratings at least a 4.9. No unexplained / recent 1's or 3's Other than that, I've noticed that some swappers that have been on here for a while will leave comments or send a message if they notice someone in a swap that is a known iffy/bad swapper. If I catch wind of something like that, have bad vibes, or anything, you'll be removed.

Now newbie swappers, let's help get our reputation up. I shouldn't need to angel, but will if I have to after you've left your partner the appropriate rating.

If you flake on my swap you will never again participate in any swaps I host and I'll report you to anyone / group / swap hosts that will listen.

Personally, I don't have a preference over having postcards sent to me naked vs in an envelope. I just prefer that it get here in good condition so if you're worried that it might not hold up, please put it in an envelope. Thank you!
