Description:

Hey everyone! Well Christmas is upon us which means 2017 is fast approaching!

This is a simple 1 partner, 1 stamp, 1 greeting card swap to celebrate the New Year and I hope you'll all sign up:)

EDIT: There seems to be a fair bit of interest in allowing handmade cards so I have extended the deadlines to allow people to get in on the swap with handmade or store-bought cards (sender's choice). If sending a store-bought card please take some time to dress up the envelope with mail art decoration in keeping with the Happy New Year theme and a type 3 swap.

Send one "happy new year" card to your partner with a nice note written inside.Could be about how your holiday has been, what your hopes and goals are for 2017, anything you want really!

That's it! One 'Happy New Year' card, to one partner. I've seen cards at Walmart, Hallmark, Carltons and the Dollarstore, there might even be a few to pick from at your local supermarket if they have a greeting card section. High quality handmade is also acceptable!

Thanks in advance for signing up! As this is a group swap I doubt there would be a need to angel but I will be happy to do so once notified and appropriate communication/rating has occurred.

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and a very Happy New Year!!

Is a handmade card ok too?

Just thinking the same thing!

I think that because not everyone can find a specific commercially made 'Happy New Year' card that a high quality handmade card should be just fine, although I hesitate to change the swap from a type 2 as that makes it less of a 'simple card swap'. Thoughts?

Would sign up if it were a handmade card. Not much out there I would send. There are some nice vintage images to use...

If you're making it a type 3 swap (which would certainly be the case with a handmade card), then you should probably stipulate that the ones who send a store bought card HAVE to decorate the envelope, to make it a crafty type 3 effort for them, too.

I agree with @user6937 and have clarified in the description:)
