Description:

The January 2017 Fandom in a Mini Bag swap is Musicals.

Step 1: Please list in the comments your favorite characters, musicals, songs, or any other preference you may have.

Step 2: After partners are assigned, check to see what your partner likes. You can follow-up with a message if you need to know more. Then scrounge up, buy, and/or create items that fit in a bag. Your bag must contain at least 5 different types of items although more is certainly encouraged. (PLEASE try to make it look full). Different types of items means 5 ATCs, 3 pins, 2 postcards would be 10 items but only 3 different types. The swap requirement is for 5 different types in a bag.

Some ideas of themed items: stickers, ATCs, postcards, toys/action figures, comics, note cards, pins/buttons, magnets, jewelry, trading cards, legal music CDs, charms, ornaments, bookmarks, address labels, plushies/stuffies, promo stills/autograph cards, fanfic drabbles/ficlets, etc.

More specific ideas: programs, CDs (no illegal mix CDs as per swap-bot rules), your ideal cast lists, a series of art inspired by a musical, Broadway merch, etc.

Be sure to check your partner's profile so you don't send anything he or she might be allergic to.

Step 3: Put the items in a ziplock-type bag. Size: 1 quart (AT LEAST 8.5inches by 7 inches or 21.5cm by 18cm). You can decorate the bag or incorporate the bag into something (mount it or sew something around it). If you want to make or buy a bag instead of using a ziplock plastic one, that's fine as well, but it should be at least a quart in size. All items you gather or create should fit into the bag (if a couple are too big, that's fine).

Assemble your bags during the month of January and please send by the deadline (January 31)

Group rating rules apply. NO FLAKING ALLOWED! Flakers will have a chandelier fall on them.

My favorites: Hamilton, RENT, Hamilton, Phantom of the Opera, Hamilton, the Sound of Music, Hamilton, Camelot, and Hamilton. I'm kind of obsessed with Hamilton right now. Others I like include Avenue Q, Les Mis, and The Music Man.

I also love the broadway culture and the idea of reimagining the same stories in different ways with different casts and productions. I loved doing props in high school theater (our Sound of Music set was truly epic).

I am more a classical Musical fan than modern musicals.
I do like CATS, Phantom of the Opera, and LA LA Land, however, for modern musicals. Oh, and I consider Galavant and Glee to more or less be modern musicals and like those series also :)

Classics- Singing in the Rain is my fav!!!, and really any by Gene Kelly and Judy Garland. I especially love them together in musicals- like Summer Stock. I really like some of the Golden age of Hollywood actors and actresses from Musicals, like Fred Astaire, Ginger Rogers, Bing Crosby, Debbie Reynolds, Danny Kaye, Frank Sinatra ( White Christmas <3).

I am NOT a fan of Sound of Music, The Music Man, Mary Poppins... lol, just ask if you have questions.

My fav musical is Phantom of the Opera, followed by Les Mis, the little mermaid and Eicked. I have a resolution this year to see Hamilton at some point!

If you need to know anything else feel free to message me xx
