AMF - My country: a culinary journey!

Hello fellow foodies,

I've been an officer here for a while but haven't gotten around to hosting yet, so now it really is time!

I would like to invite you to share a little culinary trip through your country's cuisine with your partner. Share some of your favourites and maybe find something that's new to yourself, too, in the process?

Please send all of the following to your partner:

• at least 3 food specialities from your country or region

• 1 pack of sweets or chocolates typical to your country or region

• 1 savoury snack typical to your country or region

• 1 pack of a drink typical to your country or region

• at least 3 recipes for typical dishes/desserts/baked goods typical to your country or region (maybe related to the specialities you're sending?)

Try to make this as local and "unusual" as possible! Buy small brands, go for things your grandma used to cook, think "what do they only sell here?" ...

Now for some rules: Everything you send must be new and sealed, with a use-by date in the future. You have to send full packs of everything, so no single cookies, no single tea bags, no one-portion sachets of spices ... you get the idea! Please take into consideration your partner's likes and dislikes. Since this is supposed to teach us something new, you obviously don't have to stick to a list, but check if your partner is a vegetarian or allergic to nuts, for instance, and choose accordingly. To make it easier, you can state things like that in the comments.

Since we all want to get to know some new food culture, only one person per country is allowed in the swap. Please put your country in the comments (first come, first serve ;-)). HOWEVER: If you can introduce your region because there's lots of local specialities, you can use that instead of your country, so that even a partner from your own country could get to taste something new and different.

A few more rules so we can all swap safely: This might be a big parcel to send, so please be aware of that before signing up. It's a type 3 swap with full-sized items to be sent! To join, you should have completed at least 15 type 3 swaps and maintain a rating of 4.98 with no 1's and 3's within the last 6 months.

I will angel this if necessary, but with all the lovely people in this group, I trust this won't become necessary. :)
