Description:

Using an 80-page or 100-page composition book, alter the covers (cover with scrapbook paper or your Gelli-printed paper or other paint-y art-y paper). I like to cover the inside covers, too but this is not a requirement.

Paint, decorate or collage at least 10 pages to get your partner started. You are creating backgrounds so you do not need to add lots of embellishments.

Some folks like to glue 2 pages together to make the pages more sturdy - again, this is not a requirement but please leave blank pages so this is an option for the recipient. Also, it is advisable to decorate randomly - a few pages in the front, some in the middle and some toward the back of the book. This prevents the book from warping if you are using lots of wet media (paint and glue.)

This will be a USA only swap - it does not count as media mail. But it should be fairly cheap to send. Target sells composition books for 50-cents, Dollar Tree for $1. and Daiso for $1.50, if you have one of these stores near you. I'm sure Walmart carries them, too - but I don't have one near me,

I was told be a Swap-botter and postal worker that this does NOT count as Media Mail - I apologize. I think it should still be fairly inexpensive to mail.

Probably a silly question, but do we need to alter both front and back of the pages we choose?

Partners, answer to my question? I'd love to get started and sort of personalize to my swap mate!
