Description:

Next round for April, if you haven’t been in this swap before, join in the fun! For those of us who think heaven is a nice hot cuppa and some time to read a magazine…

Send 1 partner a sheet/page or article from a magazine (any language), and a teabag/coffee sachet (or any hot drink). Just a quick, fun swap. Everyone welcome with a completed profile and a reasonable rating...including newbies and international.

Post any questions or preferences for teabags (eg. allergies) below, but just remember, we want to keep it easy, fun and simple.

To keep with the random swap fun, I think we should leave the article up to the sender's imagination! And you'll get a surprise in your mail box! :) If you need clues, check out your partner’s profile.

Remember swap karma, send only things that you'd be happy to receive, and honour your promise to send. Thanks!

I love these swaps :-)

I'd love any article in Japanese or German! Cooking, craft, lifestyle, decorating, health....

Just a note for those sending to Australia, please make sure teabags are sealed and have ingredients listed on them or they probably won't get through customs :-.

They also often remove herbal teas. Sometimes I think it depends on whether they are feeling nice or not!

nifwlseirff 03/15/2007 #

Argh - apologies, I have to pull out - I'm moving house on the 13th April! Will join the next one!

holmesgal 03/16/2007 #

Hi all - I have done this one before and I loved it! So here I am again -

Just to let you know that I have a ALLERGY to something I CANNOT have anything with HONEY in it. So please watch your labels.

Other then that Send what you like.

Mystical Angel

Chic 03/16/2007 #

I´m allergic to nuts and fruit..although in tea the fruit doesn´t matter as long as it isn´t fresh. Nuts though is a HUGE problem.

Thanks,

~Jellybaby~

Betsi 03/16/2007 #

Please no spearmint, I have the weirdest allergy I think I've ever heard of. :)

raydance 03/21/2007 #

Would prefer if my partner does not send any Chinese teas! (oolong, iron buddha, etc) Other than that, I'd love to try anything!

I appreciate magazine articles with lovely visuals.

lilylemon 03/21/2007 #

If you don't like the tea / beverage your partner sends, you can always leave it out in the coffeebreak area at your work. As far, as articles, that's up to the sender, right?

I got a little miffed last time in this swap because so many people had so many demands about beverage, topic of article, and language of article. ( I was worried about getting a bad rating if my partner said she'd like to read about wine, for example, and she's learning Swahili but I didn't happen to have the Swahili version of a wine mag).

It's supposed to be an easy swap, so let's be open to getting a surprise. I understand that people with allergies should post allergies, but as far as preferences, let's be flexible! :)

marieoday 03/22/2007 #

I'd love any kind of berry tea, but will drink pretty much anything that isn't Earl Grey.

Zanara 03/23/2007 #

Caffeine gives me migraines unless it's in milk chocolate

abbehope 03/24/2007 #

I'm still hoping for something asian, will try again :) I also love knitting magazines and I'm a techno-freak ;)

I would love a cup of tea, but please no citrus (no lemon, orange etc) since I'm alergic.

user6798 03/25/2007 #

I subscribe to the New Yorker and Natl Geographic already. In case you live in a francophone country, I would love something in French! But I am interested even in things I can't read. thanks

user6798 03/25/2007 #

I like all kinds of tea and tisane, although I'm least interested in tisane with hibscus/rosehip as a main ingredient. If you are a loose-tea drinker, send me a spoonful of loose tea in lieu of a teabag, that's fine!!

user6798 03/25/2007 #

I agree with Lily Lemon's post, in hoping that people won't base their scores on whether or not they get what they "want." That would be really unfair.

But OTOH, I have lots of great teas and magazine articles, and it's nice to share something with someone who will be especially appreciative. I don't feel obligated to fulfill people's prefs, but if I can, that's nice for us both.

thanks for your consideration, J

slamophile 03/25/2007 #

Is it okay to fold the article, to be placed in a #10 envelope, or, should the artcle not be folded? thank you.

user7192 03/25/2007 #

Morning Friends,I am new to this and love the ideas you all have. Can you tell me who I swap with please?

ukquilter 03/26/2007 #

Amanda, I'll answer for the swap host in case she is busy. After the sign up date she has up to 3 days to screen the list of people who signed and when she does it you will get an email telling you that your partner is available to view. You then come back to this page and at the top click on 'View my partner' and bingo - there are the details!

user7192 03/26/2007 #

Many thanks Helen.

user7249 03/27/2007 #

This is my first swap!

I'm not big on fruity or flowery. I love English and Irish Breakfast Teas. I'll be willing to try others - if you think they aren't too froo-froo. :) Oh, love mint teas too!

I love reading about anything in the health, arts, culinary realm. I'll be happy to get any article you send, it doesn't have to be related to the ones I listed.

user6390 03/27/2007 #

MAM 03/28/2007 #

This will be my first swap, but I'm very excited. I love a good cup of a tea and reading magazines. No allergies, so I'm up for any type of tea you send my way. I'd love an article with lots of images, but I couldn't care less what its about, what language or any of that. I'm just excited to be in a swap!

Wow, over 100 people have joined this swap. This should be interesting.

pinkwhirlitop 03/29/2007 #

This sounds like so much fun! I am new to this, but I can already tell I'll be addicted in no time!

gramsbuttonbox 03/29/2007 #

CAUTION - to ALL swap-bot swappers -

If you EVER come across a swapper with ANY of the following info, BEWARE - she has been scamming swap-bot since the beginning, I don't know if she EVER has sent anything!

JENNA ~ PERRY ~ QUIGLEY ~ Oak Street ~ EUGENE ~ OREGON

She is NOW using the swap-bot ID "Aloha"

(Any of those words in her email, website, or swap name - do NOT send to her, unless she sends and her items are RECEIVED!)

She now has a rating of 1 - which is a good thing, once she deletes her profile, which she probably will do, those will all disappear - -

SO MAKE A NOTE OF THE ABOVE - - AND BEWARE!

MaryB

Heather71 03/30/2007 #

And just to add to Mary's message about about the above swapper. At the moment she is calling herself Aloha Quigley-Perry and you will find it says to contact her for her address details.

YS 04/13/2007 #

I received a mail last week, the sender didn’t label anything so I just assume it's from this swap I was rather disappointed with the sender coz he / she went me an advertisement for a book about paper dolls, I was expecting article to read in this swap, not a single piece of magazine page telling me what's inside the book and how much the book costs. I hope the sender will email me after reading this Thx

Cheers, YS (Malaysia)

crazyquiltpatcher 04/18/2007 #

Hi: I was on vacation & sent my package iout on 4/14/07 from Lancaster, PA. This was the first day that I had access to my computer, since I am now back home. . . .and I would think that my package has already.

Thanks,

Sharon

lilylemon 04/18/2007 #

I haven't received yet, either. It's always nice if you're sending out late to give your partner a head-up (it's nice, even when it's not going out late, for that matter).

On another note, some swappers' icons/avatars/whatever-you-call-'ems are oversized which throws the whole list of participants into strange formatting. Can swappers fix those?

AngelFaeryKathleen 04/18/2007 #

Hi Scowette, Your great pages and teas arrived in New Zealand Monday. Thanks a bunch, love them :-)))

user6452 04/19/2007 #
