There are alot of of swappers who would like to trade Whimsey Jars but are afraid to try one! If you are NEW to making Whimsey Jars, then this is the swap for you!! No criticism, no worrying, just trying your hand at a new craft!! This swap is for Beginners who would like to try their hand at making a Whimsey Jar AND for Seasoned Whimsey Jar makers who don't mind the fact that they might be Receiving a jar from a Beginner!! If you have VERY HIGH STANDARDS for what you wish to receive than please do not join! The Rules You will have 1 partner and will send that partner 1 Whimsey Jar. This WILL be an international swap! YOU will choose the theme (ie: decorate it the way YOU wish) for your Whimsey Jar (that way if you would like to get started on it BEFORE partners are assigned you don't have to worry!). The jar must be decorated. YOU will choose what to use to fill your jar. Some suggestions are: buttons, charms, embellishments, stickers, etc. Size: Baby Food Jar~You may choose the Smallest, Medium Size or Largest Jar (stage 3) or a comparable jar. I believe the smallest is 2.5 oz, the Biggest is 6 oz. Ratings: If you received your jar on time & it met the requirements listed above...You get a 5, Plain & Simple. (The ratings WILL NOT be based on whether or not you liked the jar~remember people are trying their hand at this!!) Requirements to join: You must have a rating of 4.7 or higher. No recent or unexplained ones or no sends. Newbies are welcome with a filled out profile, but I expect you to mail out on time! Please don't list things you Don't want to receive, remember this is "Sender's Choice" ! If I've forgotten anything or you have any questions, Please feel free to pm me!

I also found that the small boullion cube jars are equal to a Baby Food Jar (Stage 3), the best thing with the Boullion cube jar is that it has a much WIDER mouth !!

Can someone tell me - does the actual glass of the jar need to be decorated (painted, decoupaged or something) as well as the top? The pictures Ive seen show whimsy jars both ways :) I dont have babies in my house anymore, so have got a different jar - its really pretty, but \im not sure how much "decorating" is required!

wooohooo! I've been watchlisting this swap since it was created because I wasn't sure how to obtain some small jars. But just this past weekend I was freecycled a bag of at least 20 of them, yay!! I'm so excited for this one. I've received a whimsey jar in a tag once, and I just love it!!

I have just started making whimsy jars, but have made "Jars of fun" on my etsy shop and after receiving a whimsy jar recently, I have learned they are very very similar. I have so much fun with these! Mine is already packed up!!! :)
