Description:

I see so many fun swaps where people have the opportunity to send and receive little envelopes of happy mail, but yet so many of those fun swaps are not NEWBIE friendly. Every single one of us was a new member once, and we had to really search for newbie friendly swaps.

This is a NEWBIE friendly swap.

Now on to the details. This really is a simple swap. You will have 2 partners.

  1. Get a notecard or feel free to make a card. (High quality) Write your partner a little note in the card. It can be some words of encouragement, it can be an introduction note, or it can really be anything positive you want to write to your partners.

  2. What you include with the card is senders choice, but please check your partners profile for allergies, likes and dislikes. We don't want your partners getting something they can't use or are allergic to.

  3. Please include 2 small items. Of course you are free to send more.

Some examples of what you could send are: This is only a suggestion. Don't overthink. Just have fun and send your partners a couple fun things.

Sticker Sheets (NO reward, teacher, tiny or partially used or torn sticker sheets.)

Loose Stickers

Washi Tape Samples (Wrapped around a playing card for easy removal)

Scrapbook/Letter Writing Items

Tea Bags (Wrapped in original paper/plastic.)

Hot Cocoa

If you notice your partners are crafters, than please by all means, send them something they can use for their craft.

Your options are endless.

All items must be new or freshly handmade, not torn, not dirty

I can't control who smokes and who doesn't. So if you get an item that smells of cigarette smoke, there's nothing I can do about it.

I cannot angel so please don't flake on this. This is a simple swap that isn't expensive to put together or to ship. This is great for those just starting out, those who are on a small budget.

Thank you for giving us newbies a chance to swap. 😜

Quick question. What partially used stickers means? Do you mean if I send a half sheet instead of full sheets where I cut some out to send a partial sheet? And how does this differ from loose stickers? Thx

thisisme 05/15/2017 #

@Butterfly1974 - Partially used sticker sheets means sheets where you used some stickers but there's still some left and you cut around the used parts. Loose stickers are stickers that aren't in sheets but still have the backs on them.

Do you accept self made stickers? Like designed and printed ones

Ruie 05/18/2017 #

and for loose stickers, how many minimum

USAFwife 05/19/2017 #

Is this 1 oz, 2 oz ????

thisisme 05/19/2017 #

@Ruie - All I ask is that everything you send be in new condition.

thisisme 05/19/2017 #

@USAFwife - It all depends on what you send. If you only send 2 items than it won't be that expensive.

thisisme 05/30/2017 #

SewBiker - not sure why

TereDiane1954 05/30/2017 #

@SewBiker it's right at the bottom of the swap description, on the left.

Lablauri57 05/31/2017 #

How do I get new partners? First time doing this not sure how to navigate

Sunnydays 06/ 1/2017 #

Where do I find my partners ? Thanks.

pasteldreaming 06/ 1/2017 #

Keen on joining but not sure how it works?

user2148 06/ 2/2017 #

@Lablauri57 @Sunnydays @pasteldreaming - after the sign up date has passed the host will tell swapbot to assign the partners. If you look on the right side of this page on the top there is a yellow box that right now only has three options (view participants, move to watchlist, drop from swap). After your partners are assigned those options will be changed to "see the partners you send to", "mark swap as sent", and "rate your partners and coordinator". Hope that helps! As long as you see this swap on your dashboard you are signed up - at the bottom of the block the "no" will change to a "yes" next to partners assigned. That's how you'll know you can now view who you are sending to. Have fun swapping!

How much washi tape should be sent? It's my first time sending any so I don't want to get it wrong!

thisisme 06/ 4/2017 #

@piratejimbob87 - I usually take a playing card and wrap a few different ones around the card. I wrap each tape about 10-15 times.

piratejimbob87 06/ 5/2017 #

Cool thanks!

16 people still to send... many of them haven't been on for ages and now have poor ratings...

fbresnah 07/16/2017 #

4.90 rating is too low. Looks like a lot of flakers here.

knitterofhats 07/18/2017 #

LM for @Taryn08 to see if she received swap I mailed on June 5 from VA to Texas as there is no rating.
