Prayer Partners and Prayer Journal

One of the best things about having a personal relationship with God is being able to share with others all of the things we see Him doing daily in our lives. In this swap, we are going to become prayer partners for a month. During the month of January, you will keep a creative journal of your prayers and praises, things that you're learning, favorite Bible verses, etc. Most of us are creative, so let's praise Him that way in our journals by including anything such as poetry, photography, paintings, drawings, etc. It doesn't have to be elaborate, but it should come from your heart. You may make a chunky style book or use a small notebook or journal. Please include at least 12 entries.

You will also be in touch with your swap partner once a week (that's 4 times) during the swap to exchange prayer requests. This doesn't have to be time-consuming, but please dedicate yourself to praying for your partner every day.

At the end of the month, simply send your journal to your partner. You may include a small surprise with it, but we're not "going" for hearts based on material things. The point is to praise God together with other believers.

I'm not going to specify a religion or church denomination here, but please join only if you believe in or are going to pray to the God of the Holy Bible. I respect all beliefs, but those who join this swap should be able to feel in community with those who have similar belief systems. We are going to emphasize openness, kindness, and respect with eachother and no one should be made to feel threatened or uncomfortable. If you think that this may be a problem for you, then consider creating another swap that will meet your own needs.

Anyone is welcome to join. I will not ban anyone. That said however, please only participate if you are willing and able to commit to making a journal, contacting your partner every week (and being contacted every week), and are willing to show the utmost respect for God and others.
