I love to journal, and I love to doodle, collect random pictures, articles, recipes or other fun stuff.

For this journal swap, we will do all of the above. You will fill your journal with whatever strikes your fancy which means this is all YOU. Take a composition notebook (9.75in x 7.5in journal size) or as close as you can get and fill it up completely from front to back. Every page (front & back) should have something on it. You DO NOT have to completely cover each page. Decorate the cover in some way so it is not plain.

I'm going to give 2 months to complete it and feel free to start when you join the swap. No unrated swappers and must have 10 type 3 swaps completed and rated. PM or comment with any questions.

You can glue a few pages together to make them sturdier.

I have never done one of these, but have always wanted to try. I did a search and it looks like you just do whatever catches your fancy, correct?

I have a bunch of wire bound notebooks. Is it OK to use one of these or does it have to be a composition notebook?

Putting on my watch list for now

@institches I would use a composition notebook. The pages are stitched in so they don't tear as easily as a spiral notebook.

I usually paste a couple pages together using a comp notebook as the paper isn't the best, it's a good idea. This sounds like lots of fun! I'm in and starting today!

Should we put dates on each page we do or leave it off?

jandmterry 08/25/2017 #

@Twizzle you can add dates if you want but it isn't required.

Love the swap idea but i'm a little nervous. Will you be angling the swap?

jandmterry 08/27/2017 #

I hope everyone does their journal and that an angel isn't required. I will be willing to if it is needed.

So are we allowed to paste 2 pages together all through the book (for sturdiness), and use up all the blank pages? A full comp book with no blank pages.

jandmterry 08/31/2017 #

@USAFwife yes, you can glue pages together throughout to make them studies. You will have something on every page.

This sounds like an amazing swap! I wish I didn't take YEARS to compete my journals! I'm too afraid I wont finish in time for this to work...Watching for now, i'll get started and see how things look closer to the swap date.

This sounds like SO much fun, but I don't think I have enough time right now. Hope to get another chance. :)
