Description:

This swap will be for a Deco Book. You will be making the Deco Book for yourself and sending it to your assigned partner for them to sign as well and then pass on to someone else. You may send an already Established Deco as well. Try to choose themes that your partner will enjoy signing as well. Keep the theme choice clean and sweet (turtles, angels, birds, love, cartoons, etc...). I will be hosting these swaps every month so you can send them to a new partner in the next swap, however this is not required. You can swap with anyone who swaps Decos. Also please don't send a Deco that they have already signed.

Newbies to Deco Swapping are welcome here. If you are new to making and swapping Deco Books, please visit the link below to see how to make one.

Decos with or without tape are accepted in this swap. Each Deco must have a Theme to Decorate by or be marked Unthemed, which means the signers can decorate it however they want with whatever they want. Last Pagers are also welcome in this swap. Please be kind if you are the last signer and send the deco home to the person it was made for.

Requirements to participate: 1. No unresolved 1s or 3s. Must have at least 5 completed type 2 or 3 swaps to participate. 2. Well-filled out profile with likes and dislikes. However, sender is not required to send based on information in your profile. 3. Absolutely nothing perishable or consumable allowed. 4. Everything will be Sender's Choice. Please send only Decos you would like to receive. 5. No difficult or problematic swappers. This swap is for those open-minded to receiving what someone else creates or sends them. Absolutely NO Flakers! Must be a reliable and honest swapper. 6. Please no down rating unless you don't receive from your partner or the swap wasn't as described. Always try to contact them first and see if they will respond. 7. Remember to include a piece of paper or a memo of your swapbot userid and the swap title so it is easy to rate you. 8. This is a USA only swap. I may choose to do International versions of this swap as well in the future. 9. I reserve the right to ban anyone without well filled out profiles or that don't meet requirements. I reserve the right to check ratings before I assign partners.

I am thinking about joining this if I have time, but had a couple questions.

Can we send someone a deco they've already done a page in? I personally prefer that this is NOT allowed, since I think it's a waste of postage to send someone back a deco they've already done.

Rating down to a 3 is appropriate when the swap is received, but does not meet swap requirements. The way your rule #6 is phrased sounds like you are telling people to rate a 5 anyway which is against site policies. If the deco doesn't meet other requirements (for example if it isn't themed "clean and sweet" or somehow contained something perishable) are you telling participants to rate a 5 anyway?

Also, according to the site FAQ page, "swap coordinators should never dictate when hearts should be given" which is in contradiction to your rule number 6. I would recommend reading up on hosting rules for Swap-Bot and updating your swap description.
