You will have 2 partners and will be sending a cd to each partner.

Newbies are welcome. Ratings over 4.8 please. This is international since postage should not be much. (Anyone with a rating below a 4.8 will be considered on a case-by-case basis. But, you must contact me directly to ask if you can join or I will ban you from the swap.)

Okay, those are the rules, now on to the categories:

  1. A song that makes you believe in love.
  2. A song that makes you think of 2008. (Note: it doesnÒ€ℒt have to BE from 2008 but rather a song that was of importance to you this past year.)
  3. A song you would like played at your funeral.
  4. A song that makes you think of your childhood.
  5. A song with a colour in the title.
  6. Your first dance at your wedding. (Or, if you're not married, a first dance song that you like.)

oh, sounds fun!

picxie 12/10/2008 #

yay i loved the other hunt :)

Nese 12/11/2008 #

should the songs be edited versions? just didnt want to send a cd that would offend anyone!

ccap 12/11/2008 #

Nese, I'm fine with a song or two being racy. However, perhaps put on the track list a warning by each song that's questionable for kids. That way if a parent wants to skip that track when listening to the cd they have that option.

I guess I'm not too original, I made a similar swap a week or so back :) I'm joining yours though, cause hey, it's fun :)

Here's a link to mine too: http://www.swap-bot.com/swap/show/26677

this is a wonderful swap, can't wait! just one question: what does "another language" mean? other than what?

PalmidoraCrautiacolazione 12/20/2008 #

I think that means "other than English". Which means all the other songs have to be in English, right? =(

ccap 12/20/2008 #

I meant a language other than the one you normally speak. Sorry, I should have explained it more. They don't ALL have to be English songs.

rustycage11 12/23/2008 #

Given that there are 21 categories and 21 songs might not fit on one CD, can I assume that some songs could fit more than one category as long as there is a minimum of 15 songs?

ccap 12/24/2008 #

There need to be a minimum of 15 songs. You do not need to fill all 21 categories. I put extra on so that if you don't have a 50s song (for example) you can still join as you only need to check off 15 from the list of 21. (Kudos to you if you can fulfill all 21.)

rustycage11 12/27/2008 #

Thanks ccap :-) Glad to know I can leave some categories out if need be.

tisdagsregn 01/ 1/2009 #

so basically for me, the song which says "a song in another language" could be in English, because it is not the language I normally speak?

ccap 01/ 3/2009 #

Yes, tisdagsregn, you are correct.
