Description:

Halloween is right around the corner... Make one paper/cardstock rosette at least 4" across, attach it to a stick like a dowel or chopstick, to bring the total length to around 10". (Note: cardstock is a bit more brittle, so may crack slightly depending on thickness. Recommend experimenting with folding the paper to find out how it behaves. Cardstock will make a nice sturdy rosette though. What I've done is use something like distressed ink on those areas to make it look aged, and ;-) cover the cracks) Embellish, make it amazing, and cover the back somehow so it looks finished...ex: a paper or cardboard disc or could cover with another rosette. These are nice for adding to a vase, stuck in a pencil holder/cup, or as a planter stake. Please make it something you'd love if you received it. Pkg well for shipping to protect your artwork... an envelope might not work for this. This is art you make, not pass along's that someone else made.

If you don't have a scorer board, you can fan fold the paper. The closer together your folds are, the finer/flatter the rosette. Typical fold is 1/4" apart for a smaller tighter rosette. 1/2" apart would be for a taller chunkier rosette.

Tip - A 1 1/2" x 12" wide strip would make a 3 inch rosette. Anything above 1 1/2" will make a wider rosette but will have to have extra length of paper beyond 12".

Ex: 2" x For a nice full fine rosette, I've used two 12" lengths of paper glued end to end which made a 4" ish rosette (2"x2" =4").

Check your partner's profile to see if there's any no-no's, or likes you might fulfill.

Include your name and swap title with your swap, and don't be late sending please. Remember, that is part of the swap description and it's a shame to get rated down cuz you didn't mail on time. You have over a month from the sign-up date to get them in the mail.

RATE YOUR PARTNER! When you get your swap, take a minute and rate. Please don't wait around for days to do this. Your partner may be worried you haven't received your swap, and rating asap is the polite thing to do. If your partner sends you a nicely done swap, give a heart. Extras aren't meant for hearts, so don't expect that's gonna get you one if your swap item sucks. Just sayin'. Extras are for spoiling your partner.

NO FLAKING. nuff said. If you flake... I am totally tattling, and you know what that means. :-/ As usual, must have a 4.98 rating, with no recent 1's.

If anyone wants to do this swap as a public swap or for newbies or international, go for it. No permission necessary. I don't own it, it's just a fun idea. And if it's already been done... hope you don't mind another. These are awesome treasures for any holiday.

Feel free to share ideas in the comments section if you'd like. If you have questions, msg me.

any good your tubes that you recommend for us?

Good point Judaline. Thank you for bringing it up. Added a link for one hand folded rosette video, tricky to find since most use a scorer board. Scorer board rosette video's are easy to find via Google. Also added some dimensions/tips.
