Description:

For this swap you will share your collection of rubber stamp images with your partner, by sending them a selection of stamped images that they can use in card-making, scrapbooking or in their art journals.

You could stamp your images onto pieces of thin card, mixed media paper, scrapbook paper or tissue. Just don't use cheap copy paper as the images will be used in artwork. You need to send a minimum of 4 pieces/sheets around the size of a postcard (6x4 inches) but you can definitely send larger images/larger pieces of paper. If you are stamping large images you could get 2 on each piece. If you are using a small stamp, you could stamp it multiple times to fill the space. It's not acceptable to send a postcard size piece with one small image in the middle. Think what you would like to receive. Try to use a variety of papers and a variety of stamps. For instance, I use quote stamps, face stamps, background stamps, Dylusions stamps, Tim Holtz, Jane Davenport and Seth Apter.

How about reading through your own profile and updating what you like to help your partner, and therefore help yourself. Some profiles don't seem to have changed for 6 years!

Ensure you stamp your images with waterproof ink as many people use wet glue or gel medium to adhere them. I use Ranger's Archival Ink pads, Staz On is also waterproof.

This is Sender's Choice, but it's always a good idea to see if you have something matching your partner's likes.

This is a International swap, there is also an European version. I get messages every time asking me to host USA only versions. I do not live in the USA so it's impossible for me to do this. I live in England/Europe! Remember this is an International group.

I hate to be a pain in the a$$, but sending stamped images as stand-alones (i.e. not on a finished project) is considered copyright infringement by most stamp companies. :(

Actually maybe "copyright infringement" isn't the right phrase, but it is a big no-no. That's how they make their money.

Is it only rubber stamps or are clearstamps also allowed? Because I have much more clearstamps than rubber ones to choose from.

I read up and it's only if you are selling them or using the image to make money for yourself. Swapping an image on paper with a friend doesn't infringe copyright.
