Description:

I know there's another one out there, but I don't really like following certain designs and personally I think the rating is a little too low for me.

In this one you'll make a doll set (at least 3 dolls of different sizes) to send to your partner. You can follow any design you wish and make them of any color. You can use fabric, fleece or felt. Please embellish your dolls to make them pretty for your partner!! Please do not make your dolls super tiny. Around 5 inches or so on the biggest doll!

Requirements:

  • Must have a rating of 4.9 or higher
  • Must have been rated for 5 or more mailed swaps (no email please)
  • No no sends in the past few months and no flakers please!!
  • This is international

They are called matryoshka or babushka dolls not matroyska.

Are you sure it can't be spelled both ways? I just googled it and saw it spelled both ways.

Is "spelt" a correct word? I thought spelled!

catlingmex 01/ 3/2009 #

Spelled is the American form: spelt is British English. There's a whole big world outside of the USA, folks ....

Does anybody have a pattern or do you just wing it.

WarLordsWife 02/12/2009 #

this is the pattern I used for my last one: http://www.maizehutton.com/matryoshkadoll.html the directions are a little weird, but the base is so it can stand up. It is a nice size to work with as well.
