Description:
If you have ever made, or seen, a zine...then you are probably hooked. Although they come in all sizes, this swap will only be for those that measure 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" (which is an 8-1/2 x 11" paper folded in half) and connected down the middle. You will only have to make one (and it should have at least two full-size pages in it, with a cover). If you are new to this creative process, look them up online to get some idea what they are. Yours can be any theme, and you can use any medium (collage, photos, ATC's, paint, hand-drawn, etc.) Your choice to decorate the fronts and backs of each page, or just the fronts, plus the front cover. Confused? Email me for better instructions. Come on, join in the fun -- these are the most popular and original books to make this year! I can't wait to see what you come up with.

Linda: The Zine will have a cover, but inside it should have four pages (or more) two sheet of cardstocks folded in half to measure 5-1/2 x 8", making four pages. I makes a little (MAGA) Zine...get it? And they are fun. Please join us.

Is it 2 A4 folded = Front & back + 6 pages, (4 leafs all together), or 3 A4 folded = Front & back + 10 pages (6 leafs all together)?

A4 = 8.5"x11" page.

I'm not sure what you're getting at here either. The picture you show looks like an original one of a kind piece of mixed media art, like you might find in an altered book.

I think of zines as something that is a copy of the original, (often photocopied in black and white, but not always) so that there can be multiple copies - hence the term zine - like in magazine.

I realize that you only need to make one for this swap, but are you expecting an original piece of artwork that is several pages long?

Also, are zines which are mostly text (writing) welcome in the swap? your description is mainly of artwork, but most of the zines I make and have are mostly words. M
