Description:

This swap is in honor of my kiddo who is going to the 4th Grade. When I was a kid one of my favorite stories was "Tales of a 4th Grade Nothing" (https://www.amazon.com/Tales-Fourth-Grade-Nothing-Blume/dp/0142408816)

I loved Judy Blume and she is the inspiration for this SERIES of SWAPS.

The first swap is going to be ELECTRONIC so that newbies can join and get quick ratings.

The questions are targeted to someone who is actually entering the 4th grade. So for those of you who don't have kiddos, you might want to interview a kiddo in your life. The goal is to get into their world...answer some of their questions and (re)discover life from their point of view!

*Note: If you don't have kiddos in your life but you REALLY want to participate from a trip down memory lane, you are still welcome to participate but please know the answers are supposed to given to kids to help them prepare for the 4th grade. So make your answers easy to read and understand. As a parent, I want him to be able to read these himself because he really is excited and thinks this is a great idea.

There are 15 questions available. We ask that you answer 10 (because some are really short). You can answer all 15 for a star.

  1. What was your favorite memory from 3rd grade?
  2. What did you do/where did you go/what was your favorite thing over the summer?
  3. What school do you go to?
  4. When does/did school start?
  5. How old are you/When is your birthday?
  6. What are you most excited about for 4th grade?
  7. What are you least excited about for 4th grade?
  8. What kind of books do you like to read?
  9. What are your hobbies?
  10. Have you met your teacher yet/What is their name?
  11. Ask a grown up what they remember/what their advice for 4th grade.
  12. What's your favorite back to school supply or favorite thing in your back pack?
  13. What is your least favorite thing about going back to school?
  14. Is there anybody you look up to?
  15. What do you hope your teacher will be like?

I want to thank you in advance for your great answers. Transitions can be scary for kids and something like the 4th grade is a BIG DEAL! Giving them something to look forward to really does help and as a single parent it is important to me that he has other ideas and voices to listen to!!

PS: This is my FIRST EVER swap as a coordinator so please know that I am learning and I will do my best. Please ask any questions or leave comments!!

THANK YOU!!
