The Colour of Paint #2 - Nature

Hello all! Are you enjoying the beginnings of fall?

I want to do something a little different in this ATC swap. I'm excited about this. I have wanted to do this for some time. I read about it in a book, many years ago, with nature activities for children.

Let's spend a bit of time outside, and enjoy the beautiful fall weather ... we will reap the benefits of fresh air, exercise, and wonderment of the world around us.... and, BONUS! get to make an ATC :-)

1. Find a paint chip (Walmart, Home Depot, Lowe's, etc.). Choose a color.

2. Go take a nice walk and enjoy the colors of fall. While on this walk, find something in Nature that matches closely to the color of the paint chip. For instance, Green could be a leaf. Red could be a pressed flower, etc. Make sure that your nature element will hold up to being on an ATC. You can press it in waxed paper, spray it with a clear spray, etc. (in other words, we don't want a green leaf to turn brown if your color is green). Twigs, Bark, a pressed flower or leaf, sand, a tiny flat piece of rock or pebble... you get the idea.

3. Create your ATC as follows:

   a. Use the Paint chip on your ATC. Can be a piece of it, a die cut, or use it for the whole background.

   b. Add your nature element on the ATC. Adhere well.

   c. Add your information to the back... name of swap, your swap bot ID, your name, date.

   d. Put your ATC in a plastic sleeve to protect the nature element.

Please, no smelly or live nature elements. Make sure that you don't interfere with nature too much...

Standard ATC size applies. 2.5" x 3.5" -
