Description:

I am loving coffee dyed papers of all kinds to use in my creative projects. Let's create a little stack of goodies to send out to our partner.

Send at least 10 paper items. This can include book pages, plain papers, ledger paper, shipping tags, etc. Try to make a nice little mix of different papers and sizes. If needed, you may fold for mailing.

These papers are wonderful in junk journals, card making, ATCs, and anything you can dream up!

If you haven't done this before, there are tons of videos on youtube to help you get started. It's really very easy and quite addictive :) In no time at all you will have a big stack of papers.

How I do mine:

  • Preheat oven to 295 degrees (low)
  • I fill a big glass casserole dish with strong coffee from my keurig
  • carefully layer in your papers, making sure they get wet
  • let sit for about 10-15 minutes or desired color
  • gently lift from coffee and place on baking sheet
  • bake for about 5-6 minutes

Manilla shipping tags often need a few more minutes and I sometimes flip them over. Once your papers are crispy and dry, you are done. I then use an iron to go over them quickly to flatten them down a bit.

When I'm doing the papers, I often will also dye bits of muslin fabric, cheesecloth or lace trims. Goodies to have on hand for your next Somerset project :)

If you have any questions or need help, please post below or message me.

Happy creating!
