Description:

Hooray! It’s almost Christmas time! Everyone loves advent calendars, where you get a little surprise each day, and this is a chance to make a stationery themed advent swap for your partner. This is a series of 4 swaps, to exchange 6 items. To gather all 24 items (one for each day in December), you will need to join all 4 rounds. This round 3.

For this swap, you will be sending your partner 6 small items, wrapped in holiday paper, for them to open on a day in December, leading up to Christmas. Here’s how it will work:

Collect 6 items for your partner, then you need to wrap them and number them : 3, 7, 11, 15, 19, and 23

After all your items are wrapped and numbered, you will put them in a padded envelope or box and mail them to your assigned partner. Once you receive your package from your partner, and verify there are 6 little wrapped and numbered items, you will immediately rate your partner with a 5. After you have opened all your little gifts (last one on Dec 21-24) you can adjust your rating to add a heart or a different point value if they did not follow swap instructions.

Items you can choose from for this swap are:

  • A sheet of stickers (new, not cut up, not reward or kiddie)(4”x4” or larger, otherwise, include 2 sheets)

  • A new roll of washi tape

  • 5 washi samples on a playing card (or something similar) each measuring 18 inches in length.

  • A little envelope of ephemera

  • 2 quality postcards (not tourist, ad or free cards)

  • A blank notecard and matching envelope

  • 2 sheets of stationery and matching envelope.

  • 2 handmade envelopes (from calendar, maps, fancy paper, etc)

  • 2 mint (unused) forever stamps

  • $1.00 worth of mint (unused) vintage stamps

  • 2 self-adhesive wax seals (unused)

  • A gel pen (any color!)

Do not get more than 1 item in each bulleted category. No duplicates. So you may only send one sheet of stickers, or one gel pen. You want to send your partner a variety of items. All items must be from the categories listed above.

The items should be new, and made or purchased specifically for the swap. This is NOT a chance to clean out your stash of junk. Each day’s item(s) should be worth approximately one dollar (excluding washi which is sometimes less since it comes in a pack). Items are senders choice, But looking at your partners profile would definitely be nice. Please try to avoid sending anything specifically on their dislike list.

Also, make no more than half of the items Christmas themed, and if you do get Christmassy things, try to put them at the beginning of the swap (starts at #1) so that your partner still has time to use them before the holiday season is over.

Remember: After all 6 packages are wrapped, put them in a padded envelope or box, along with a Christmas card with your user name and the swap name. Since this is such an extensive swap, I’m giving you 10 days to get everything purchased/made, wrapped and mailed. And leaving plenty of time for the postal system to deliver it all (including the last swap in the series) before December 1st.

Because this is such a big commitment, I will only be accepting well-rated, experienced swappers for this swap (with at least 10 type 3 swaps, and no unexplained 1’s or 3’s), who are active on the site, and I reserve the right to ban anyone who I don’t feel is 100% sure will complete it. I will be checking every profile.

If you are interested in doing the advent swap in one fell swoop, with a single partner (to save on postage), I’m also offering a separate swap for that, called: “Advent Swap: Stationery theme - one fell swoop.” And you can check that one out instead, if that suits you better.

Any ideas where to pick up single notecards for $1 ...some of these don’t value $1 per item so I’m kinda trying to see where others get their stuff from
