Description:

We have all collected used postage stamps from our Swap-bot swaps or other places...lets take them and create an ATC using some of them. Don't just glue them on and send...be creative. Make it something you would love to get in the mail. Perhaps they can be the center point, or they can blend in to the card, but make sure they are just NOT glued on.

Rules:

1)One (1) ATC to your partner

2)Cannot just be glued on

3)Make sure your card is not flimmsy - I normally double my cardstock to ensure this

4)Must not just be used stamps stuck on - be creative - must be something you would want to receive yourself

5)You must have a 4.8 or more rating to participate

6)No 1 ratings in the last 3 months

7)I do read the profiles if I have my doubts about you, I will ban you from the swap

8)Please have a completed profile, in case the person swapping would like to send you something extra

9)Please mail out by the swap date deadline, if you are going to be late PLEASE contact your partner and let them know.

10)Please rate the send on the rules

11)ATC card is 3.5 x 2.5 please measure

I found this beautiful used stamp card at googleimages.ca and it belongs to postage stamp ATC by susiqz found on flickr

I would love to do this but I will be out of the country until after the send date. Also- since postage is getting expensive, I like to send at least 2 cards per envelope. It costs the same as one card so is a better use of my stamps. If you do this again, let me know as I love this theme. Thanks

Hi, I love postage stamp atc's but can I please put in a request that the stamp must be intact and also soaked off the backing paper? I have had several come cut and still on the paper they were sent on. Thanks and cheers... :)

Sorry,I didn`t realize one was suppost to soak the stamp off before attaching.............

I meant to say and it slipped my mind I opted for one card because sometimes people like to put in extras, but two cards are a nice idea...perhaps the next swap can be two cards. Thank you for the idea. Have a super week.

I feel like this is the artist's decision. If you want to soak it off and/or use it intact, great! But if your vision includes torn edges and partial stamps, go for it!

I totally agree what you do with your stamps before you put them on the card - if you soak them go for it, if you don't want to - IT IS YOUR CHOICE

is it ok to just use one stamp on the ATC, or do you have to use more than one?

If you like to send 2 cards, then perhaps you could do 1 as an extra ? I'd like to receive an extra card rather than little pieces of paper. Manjigirl... I may have been one of those people, sorry, I leave stamps attached when I send in case I damage them in getting them off :) For the ATC, leaving abit of the envelope on could be part of your design ?

Thank you, thank you, thank you for rule #11! =) As far as sending a second ATC to your partner, I almost always do that. I consider it an extra. Sometimes on theme, sometimes not. In case they don't like the first, they have a second and I'm like cafras, I'd rather have a second ATC than a handful of Hello Kitty stickers I have no use for.

I like to send extras myself and the extra could be another card in the same or different theme. Its an awesome idea. I also try to look at my partners profile when sending extras so it could be something they can use.

Partners come out on Sunday everyone

and just so everyone knows, it is NOT difficult to soak a stamp from the paper - (some of the newer self-adhesives are tougher, but mostly they come off really easily) - if you have no idea how to do it, just message me, and I'll give you some tips -

(as a stamp collector for many years, I soak stamps by the hundreds, at least twice a month, heehee)
