My favorite ATCs are ones with a bit of inspiration, quotes, or sayings. It got me thinking about how often a particular line of a song just resonates as a standalone expression. "All you need is love, love is all you need" for example.
So, this is my proposal for a swap...
- Each person creates 4 ATCs with a song lyric included in the artwork (2.5 x 3.5 sized ATCs)
- Each ATC should have the same lyric
- All 4 ATCs get sent to the coordinator (me) along with a self-addressed envelope and return postage.
- I will scramble them up and send 4 ATCs back in the envelope you provided.
- On the back of the ATC please put your name, the year the ATC was created, the name of the song that the lyric came from, and songwriter/artist information.
Caveats:
I cannot set the swap partners to reflect this type of swap. Just remember- send to me, and do not send to the partner you are assigned. How is everyone going to get rated?! I will make sure that one of the cards you receive is from the partner you were assigned to. Please rate based on receiving that card. This should be an easy 5 rating. If things don't go well- it's my fault and you should reflect that in what you rate me as a coordinator. Please keep three-dimensional embellishments to a minimum, so that there are not issues fitting it into the envelope provided. Please add the same amount of postage to your return envelope as the amount needed to send your ATCs. If more is needed due to the mix of ATCs, I will add it, but this should be minimal. I can only give an estimate to when I will send the ATCs back, as obviously mail delivery is variable. I will do so within 3 days of receiving the last set, so hopefully one and half to two weeks after the sent deadline. If I haven't received your set a week after the sent deadline I will reach out to find out if it's not coming or is just delayed in the mail. PLEASE, if you can't make the deadline, communicate with me so that everything is not held up waiting on something that is not going to arrive. I will angel if needed, but early communication is needed. No need for writing a note, decorating the envelope, putting in anything extra- just put your effort into the ATCs. If you have questions or concerns about how this swap is set up- please comment! I'd rather address comments than have people choose not to participate because I missed something in my description or planning.
