Let's make some Shrinky Dinks!!!

Everyone remembers the fun magic of shrink plastic, right? In recent years, they've resurfaced. Often you can find the shrink plastic in scrapbooking stores, and it now comes in a larger variety of styles for use (check Amazon if you're in need of supplies).

For this swap you'll be assigned 1 partner. You'll make one shrinky dink charm for them based on their profile likes (if your profile isn't well filled out, then it's senders choice). Charms received can be used for zipper pulls, necklaces, bracelets... whatever strikes your fancy!

Some tips to follow:

1. Please use clear or white shrinky dink plastic for best color vibrancy.

2. Your Charm's final measurement should be AT LEAST 1-inch in size, probably no bigger than 2".

3. Be sure to include a hole in which your partner can loop a jump ring or string through.

There are many ways to color shrink plastic. I use colored pencils, and make sure my colors are saturated and colored-in well before baking to ensure the brightest finished colors. You can use whatever method you prefer though.

For mailing, don't just toss your charms in an envelope. Be sure to layer them inbetween some card stock for safe travels, write a little note, add some stickers – make it the awesomest piece of mail the mail carrier has ever delivered!
