Please read the description carefully before joining.

This is a swap for at least ten rounds. It would be great if we had you on board for every round to make this fun. But you have to at least send items two times.

For the first time you enter, you will have to do some crafting before posting. I will give you a how-to below.
Then you send a book to your partner who will fill one double-page before posting to the next one in the upcoming rounds. In the end we send a completely filled book back to the original owner.

How to craft a book:

  1. take ten pieces of blank white paper (I recommend A4 so that your book is A5 in the end) and two sheets of special paper/beautiful crafting paper.

  2. fold all the blank white sheets in the middle to get size A5.

  3. glue one sheet to the next so that they can open like a book, repeat with all ten sheets.

  4. glue one sheet of crafting paper onto the back and let it fold a little to the front, to make the book less fragile.

  5. glue the other sheet of crafting paper onto the front of the book.

  6. cut all the excess paper.

  7. you might want to hide the edge of the two crafting paper sheets with a bit of washi tape (lentghwise) or something similar.

  8. you might decorate your "binding" if you like and make sure to add the return address to the back of the book.

  9. take the first double page for yourself, include all the categories you want your partners to include as well. You can if you like also set a theme to your book (looking for pen pals/book and film recommendations/favourite this and that/poetry and song lyrics/...). Don't forget to decorate the page with whatever style you want (painting/washi art/scrapbooking style/clean/lots of stickers/...).

  10. Having received your partner's book, you repeat step 9 with the next blank double page, but this time you have to stick to their categories. If they have included a) their address, b) a checkbox if you want a new pen pal, c) their favourite pastime, d) a recommendation for a book and e) their favourite quote from a movie, you have to write down all the categories from a) to e), nothing more and nothing less. But you can choose your own style in decorating your page.

In the end everyone should get a book with 10 different-style pages and all with the same filled out categories inside.

The last round will be a little different. If you fill the last double page of a book you shouldn't wait for a next round but after finishing directly send it home to the given return address on the back of the book.

If you have taken part in one of the rounds and don't want to participate in the next rounds please send the book you have got back to the return address early, so that the owner might get it out there on another round again.

As this is a rather big concept for a swap I will be checking profiles thoroughly and will ban as I see fit. But if you always get your swaps out on time and have very good ratings with comments showing that you give thought into your swaps, you can totally start ahead of time, as you won't have anything to worry about.

I hope we can have a lot of fun together doing this.

Do you have a video so then I know if I should join or not

Good advice, thank you for the idea. Until now I have not, but I will make a how-to video. I will post a link here as soon as it's online.

So, this is the video now:

It's not the best quality, but I guess it's okay to understand and see how the FB should be crafted.

Oh, and just skip the first 30 sec. I was setting up the camera.
