Description:

"My religion is very simple. My religion is kindness."
- Dalai Lama

This is a challenge:
Try and make this world a better place every day for a month.
Do something kind for the people around you every day of October - that is 31 acts of kindness. If you do something twice or thrice within those 31 days that's okay, but please don't just carry bags for an elderly person every day.
You will write a short note for each act of kindness/each day and you get two extra days to get it sent out via email to your three partners.

Please rate a 5 if you receive your partner's kindness diary and it matches the swap description. Don't rate low because you did "more meaningful" things than what your partner described for you. Everyone can only act according to their environment and to their abilities.

This is about making others happy, if you feel you want to spend money for it, you're totally free to do that, but it isn't necessary. Even the simplest and smallest acts can bring joy and gratitude. Just open your eyes and see where you're needed.

This is an interesting swap idea. I very much agree with the Dalai Lama and quote his "be kind" frequently. I am not going to join the swap because it feels forced to me and because being semi-exclusionary during this whole pandemic I've found that my own kind impulses sometimes much be limited to an encouraging email to a friend or even to someone who sends me a thoughtful swap. I think awareness of kindness, both given and received is very important. Your impulse is commenable.

@junemoon
Thank you for your thoughts. Of course you're right and being kind shouldn't be forced and neither limited to one month. I created this swap anyway, to make people raise their awareness for kindness and also to share ideas how one can be kind. Maybe someone has a wonderful idea how to be kind to people that I didn't think of but would love to do myself.
