Description:

The Wheel of the Year. It's the way we mark the seasons changing, honor the Gods and Goddesses associated with each Sabbat, and connect ourselves more fully with the foods and symbols of the season.

I love the seasons, love the idea of the Wheel turning, ever-changing, yet constant and grounding, and love the connection I feel when I celebrate each Sabbat on the Wheel.

I usually create an ATC for each Sabbat to place on my altar. They are small, sturdy, and full of symbolism. They can be carried around during the Sabbat, kept on your altar, placed on your desk at work...anything goes. These small representations of the Sabbat are perfect and portable.

So, here's what we'll be doing:

This will be a series. One ATC for each Sabbat on the Wheel of the Year. This is the second in the series of nine swaps. We will do one card for each Sabbat, as mentioned, plus a "Wheel of the Year" ATC. (If you keep your cards in those nine-pocket sleeves, this looks beautiful. Each Sabbat will go in order around the outside with the Wheel of the Year card in the middle.)

This swap theme: BELTANE

One card to one partner. Please make this something special, something you would want to display on your own altar. No no-sends within the past 3 months. Have fun with these!

This is a series but you can sign up for one swap to represent a Sabbat you feel particularly connected to or sign up for all nine swaps and have the complete "wheel"...it's up to you how many you choose to participate in. Happy swapping!

  • Next up will be Litha--the Summer Solstice. Hope you can join us!
