I decided to stop doing most craft swaps. So I will be giving away my stash on a monthly basis to the person that I am partnered with. The only person who will be sending anything is me. I will be sending out a small flat rate box. It will contain random items so if you are fussy, this isn't the swap for you.

I have made this swap USA, due to cost. I hope everyone understands.

Each month I will assign a different question that you need to answer underneath the swap.

This month's question is how did you celebrate New Year's? I recommend putting down your comment when you sign-up so that you don't forget.

Good luck everyone.

I celebrated New Year's Eve by watching Dick Clark's Rockin' Eve and having snacks. On New Year's Day I shared a nice dinner at home with my son.

I spent my New Year's day hosting several strangers. First, a woman who pulled into my driveway because she thought she was having some kind of seizure. She had two children with her. Then, two volunteer paramedics who came in to assess the woman and then took her by ambulance to the closest hospital which is 45 minutes away. Then a woman who came to get the children and the car, only to discover it was a standard and she couldn't drive it. Then that woman's boyfriend, who picked her and the children up. Then the parents of the sick woman who had to drive and hour and a half to pick up the car. That's what I did on January 1, 2021.

My husband and I spent a quiet evening at home. We watched a few movies, then toasted in 2021 at midnight.

After working 9 days straight and going to Christmas as a friend's house with many gifts and many kids, I was sooooo ready to relax on New Year's Eve! My honey and I fell asleep early, awoke at the fireworks around midnight and then got a whole day of snuggling and introvert time. This greatly helped us redirect our energy to launch into 2021 goals!!!

My Husband and I are not a fan of New Year's Eve, so we are always in bed by 10:00 p.m. at the very latest. I had been a Zoo Keeper and most recently, an Animal Technician for a Vet Hospital, so I always had to work the next day anyway. This year we watched a couple of things on Netflix, had some popcorn and cocoa and hit the hay early. We always get woken up a couple of hours later by all of our neighbors shooting off fireworks and yelling. >:/ On the first, I did some pre-prep for de-decorating from Christmas and made some recycled envies from an old calendar! Thank you so much for this generous offer! :D

I didn't do anything this year. I stayed at home and didn't even stay up!

aligurl75 01/ 5/2021 #

Hi everyone! This year was my 8 year old's first New Year's Eve where he was allowed to stay up for the year change over. We ended up taking naps earlier in the evening so that "we" wouldn't be too tired for midnight. Trust me. I didn't mind the nap, this holiday season has been exhausting..lol JJ and I played several different versions of Monopoly and when midnight came around we shouted HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Then we toasted the new year in with sparkling apple cider, string cheese and swedish fishes.

We celebrated New Year's Eve at home. I made a charcuterie board spread for dinner, and we played online games with some friends over Zoom. We have spent NYE with these friends for many, many years, so it was nice to be able to keep that tradition, even if it looked a little different this year.

I have, really, enjoyed reading all the New Year's Eve stories. My husband retired from his long-time job in JAN. 2020 and we began downsizing 50-90 % including much of our furniture, MARCH 1st we made the difficult move to a smaller place. two weeks later, COVD shut down everything before we could purchase smaller furniture, JUNE 1st my husband had emergency 5X bypass surgery, several additional hospital stays and additional heart procedures, he completed Cardiac Rehab on JAN 5th 2021. Countless caring, generous, loving folks came to our rescue during 2020, and the only way we could repay their generosity was to share a little joy. New Year's Eve, we took small gifts and cards to as many people as possible, though we couldn't see their smiles behind the masks, we knew they were smiling.

I celebrated New Years like almost everyone else a night at home. Lots of TV and at midnight i went in the yard and yelled Jumanji because my bff said for months that everyone better yell Jumanji so we could get out of the game (nightmare 2020).. I did a fb live video .Yeah Im a nut!'

I celebrated by spending time with my sister, niece and nephew. Came home, saw the ball drop and went to bed. Nothing eventful, but had fun anyway.

CraftyTara 01/12/2021 #

Due to COVID, I stayed home for the first time in years! I had some appetizer foods with my parents and actually went to bed around 10pm!! Strangers NYE in a long time for me :)

PegOGood 01/13/2021 #

I went to bed at my normal time. One thing that we normally do is on new years day we have pork and (I cant spell the word but it sounds like sour krout) it is said to bring good luck in the new year. So pretty uneventful here.

traceyj 01/13/2021 #

I had planned to be on a camping trip but since that wasn't possible this year, I did my usual "go to bed early" celebration, with plenty of copious snoozing.

montigneyrules 01/13/2021 #

We found out our baby gender with confetti poppers!

SatisHuman 01/13/2021 #

I am getting old. I was in bed but stayed conscious until midnight just so I could say I was awake for New Year's. It's not like I have the option to do anything now in covid world.

lylanni 01/14/2021 #

I spent it online with friends since we couldn't gather. It was actually quite fun!

KathyB 01/14/2021 #

I didn't celebrate this year. I had to work on New Year's Eve and Day.

laurenmarie323 01/14/2021 #

I spent the evening of New Year’s Eve with one of my bestest friends! We played ping pong, are a delicious dinner, and watched the ball drop in New York on TV. It was a great night. We stayed up until almost 3am 😬

alafour 01/15/2021 #

this year for new years we stayed in and at dinner with my in laws and then popped off fire works. we didnt make it to midnight though.

bizzles 01/15/2021 #

My family and I celebrated here at home. We bought sparklers and watched fireworks being shot off across our rural neighborhood.

CraftyTara 01/16/2021 #

So if we don't send anything now, what do we do?

yvonne401 01/16/2021 #

@CraftyTara just post how you spent New Year's. That's all you have to do.

yvonne401 01/16/2021 #

Our winner is @PegOGood . Congrats! I will post when sent.

If I was assigned a partner in this swap what do I do? I don’t want to get a bad rating or marked as a flanker? If I am suppose to send out something let me know so I can do it please. Thanks

@Cynfully all you have to do is see if your partner (the partner you rate) left a comment above. As long as they did then you rate them a 5. Nothing to send out, nothing to receive. :)

yvonne401 01/26/2021 #

RAK sent today to @PegOGood .

Cynfully 01/26/2021 #

@aligurl75 thank you so much because I sure was trying to figure out how to get it off my dashboard..lol

PerArduaAdAlta 02/ 7/2021 #

For new year's I stayed home. I used to perform in vaudeville new year's shows 🎩
