Beautiful Fan Embellishment for our Journals

Dear Ladies,

Now that we are into those long warm days of summer, let us enjoy an afternoon in the garden or inside where it is cool and make some pretty embellishments for our journals. Here is a lovely tutorial to make a fan embellishment to write things on, perhaps little items of interest about our character, her birthday or her hair and eye colour; just something to define her in your mind.

For this swap, we shall make two such fan embellishments for our partner following the tutorial, but please feel free to add your own unique ideas to their construction. The “petals” for the fans should be at least 3 1/2” which is about 90 cm but you may make them slightly larger if it is easier for you to work in a larger size.

When you have made your embellishments, write a little note to your partner on one of them and leave the other for your partner to fill in.
