Description:

Ok, this is new to me but @cherrythepig gave a great website and I'm going to take the plunge and try it. For this swap you will make 1 ATC for 1 partner (I figured we'll start slow so it won't be overwhelming). Use a photo/image transfer somewhere on your ATC, where you go from there is up to you!

Here's the link to a great tutorial. And, the warning CTP gave was not to use ink-jet printed pics (only laser printed or others as suggested in the link).

If you've done this technique in a different way, please share!

I read the link about packing tape transfer -- they mention use gel medium to glue the tape transfer down -- gel medium is a fabulous transfer agent in and by itself -- go figure.

I have an ink jet printer and have had some success with gel medium on fabric. I've also tried contact paper, silicone caulk and hot glue and gel medium with ink jet print outs with varying degress of success. I've heard Golden gel medium is superior to Liquitex, but my local stores don't carry it. Recently I used colored pencils on plain white paper and did a packing tape transfer that I was pleased with.

A photo/image transfer is what we're going for here. If you'd like to use an alternate method to achieve the same result then that is fine!
