Hello Paper Crafters!!

@isabellasnow did this swap early this year and I grouped together some items and inked envelopes that I wanted to make later. I haven't finished them yet but I know they will be super cute. I need motivation!!! Swaps motivate me...so here we are.

Pam at The Paper Outpost is always so cheery. She gets me inspired and gluing like crazy every time I watch one of her videos. This tri-fold portfolio (from a single envelope!?!?!) is no exception. She's so creative! Who would have thought to make something SO cute and useful out of a single business size envelope?

Without further ado - HERE is the video

SWAP: You will create one envelope portfolio for one partner. Your portfolio can be double-fold or tri-fold. Choose whatever works best for you.

The video is meant for inspiration but please feel free to embellish and decorate it in your own style. You could use mixed media; rubber stamping; postage stamps, stickers or any other embellishments that add to the look/theme of your item. You can finish off the portfolio using any variety of additions like pockets; maybe a belly band; mixed paper notepad (she makes hers really cool and dimensional with inking and embellishments)…the options are endless.

The closure is up to you as well, please just make sure that your little portfolio can be held closed. You can use baker's twine, ribbon, lace, whatever you think works to finish off your little folded portfolio.

Yay! I am ready to get my little envies folded up and looking amazing! Don't be surprised if you see me in your mailbox. I have several little bundles that are ready to put together so I will randomly pick (at least) one extra person to send a happy mail envelope to. Be safe out there friends <3

For reference, the envelope size is : #10 envelope which measures 4 1/8" by 9 1/2"

Is it ok to use an envelope in a different size? I can’t find any in that size here in Sweden…

Hey Anna! I messaged you back as well. It would be good to use an envelope that is close. It doesn't have to be exact. Do you all get bills with return envelopes or junk mail kind of mailings that have envelopes? Those are generally this size - long. It wouldn't be difficult to create your own "envelope" - meaning just fold over some paper and go from there or cut down a 6x9 envelope. Please let me know if you are struggling to find something to work. I would happily to a private swap for something that is similar.
