Are you a Plotter or a Pantser when it comes to writing a manuscript? Plotters plan out their books with detailed outlines, character sketches and know the story from beginning to end before they write the first word. They may even use color-coordinated charts, Excel worksheets and the like to organize. Pansters write by the seat of their pants. They have no plot or outline, and may only have the barest kernel of an idea of what the story will be about or who the characters are. They launch with "what if,,, ?" and let the story unfold as it will. Which are you? Take the quiz to determine if you are a Plotter, a Panster or somewhere in between, i.e. a Planster. Post below your NaNo name, your quiz outcome, and whether you plan to take up the 50K challenge in November. Then, head over to the NaNoWriMo site to check out all of the tips and resources available to take the National Novel Writing Month challenge Nov. 1-30. Electronic. Group membership. International. |
