This is my first time hosting a swap, I welcome input and questions! Let's do a Christmas Themed Magpie Junk Journal! What is a magpie journal you ask? A magpie is a bird that collects random, and often shiny, objects just because! So for this swap you're going to channel your inner magpie and then glue everything into a notebook for your partner. Start hoarding now and then take your time in January to assemble the journal. Think about classic Christmas colors...the backs of Christmas theme scrapbook packages...the holiday labels a lot of products use...candy wrappers...tags...buttons...bread bag ties...teabag tags...postcards...stickers...scraps of wrapping paper...postage stamps...ribbons...holiday napkins... playing cards...random magpie ephemera... Really anything goes as long as it makes you think Christmas! I'm not going to set a specific size but at least 4x6...store bought or handmade...fill at least 30 pages...here's the definition of a page: one side of a sheet of paper in a collection of sheets bound together...but of course more is always better for magpies π...something that will fit in a 6x9 envelope or the flat rate 8x12 USPS mailer. Or as large as you like! The mailing costs will probably be about $10 so please keep that in mind when signing up. Please send your items on time! If you're going to be late please communicate with your partner, I find most swappers won't rate down as long as you stay in touch. This is not profile based and open to interpretation. Please rate fairly if you've received an honest attempt. You must have at least a 4.8 rating. No 1's or 3's in 2021 please. I will check ratings! |
