Description:

Dear swappers,

PLEASE NOTE: PAGES ARE NOT TO BE FOLDED FOR MAILING; MAIL UNDER 10" DOES NOT UPCHARGE.

This is the third in a series of pages we can glue in a composition book to create a glue book. When finished, your book will contain the work of many swappers! When you receive a page from your partner, glue it on top of a page on the RIGHT side of your composition book, leaving a blank page on the LEFT for writing. Or . . . do the reverse; glue your pages on the LEFT and leave the RIGHT side for writing! You MIGHT want to double the sheets for added stability.

What's a glue book page? Basically, it's a FLAT collaged page (no dimensional elements). HERE is a tutorial by joie de fi with excellent examples.

The page you create should measure: 7" x 9" This will fit PERFECTLY (with very small blank margins) onto the pages of a standard composition book.

Each swap will have a theme and the theme for this swap is: January/Winter! You may interpret the theme in any way you choose. If you don't get snow or cold weather where you live, interpret winter in your own special way--you might have holiday lights on a cactus! Remember to sign your page on the bottom right where it will become part of your partner's glue book journal!

Please use a paper base more sturdy than printer paper--especially if you're going to be using paint. Purchased cardstock should be fine.

I'll be listing one of these per month--each month will have a different theme. Hope you'll join them all!

Just wondering. Does it have to be Winter as January here is Summer? Or maybe just Winter?

Hi Ros! Do winter as YOU think of winter! What an interesting page to receive for those of us who have cold weather and snow.

FYI...to get the USPS letter rate, the envelope has to be 6-1/8 inches by 11-1/2 inches or less. The 7 inches by 9 inches makes the swap fall into the Large Envelope rate which is higher than the forever stamp.

A large manila envelope is dropped in the box for a.m. pickup out to my partner. Enjoy!
