Description:

This swap was inspired by a swap I sent recently and the envelope was filled with stamps as I left my wallet at home and had no money. To send a 72 cent letter I used the1, cent, 3 cent, 10 cent, 17 cent and 27 cent postage I had with me.

For this swap it's simple you will have 2 swap partners. Send each swap partner a short note or card. Simple, the fun part is that you have to use at least 4 different denominations of postage on the envelope. The more the merrier! For example to send a 1st class letter in the US it costs 42 cents. Instead of (1) 42 cent stamp you could use (42) 1 cent stamps, or (14) 3 cent stamps.

I can only imagine the look on postal employees faces when they see a letter with 42 stamps on it!

As of now I will keep the swap international, unless I get feedback that it is not possible to do so due to various mail regulations. Most postage from the US going international is around 94 cents so it is a relatively inexpensive swap.

Anyone with a 4.8 rating and higher can join, but you must contact me if you have more than 1 no sends. Newbies are welcome with a completed profile, which I will check. Please NO Flakers, I will try to angel any no sends.

Current denominations of US postage stamps available are: 1 cent, 2 cent, 3 cent, 4 cent, 5 cent, 10 cent, 17 cent, 27 cent, 41 cent, 42 cent, 59 cent, 60 cent, 62 cent, 63 cent, 72 cent, 75 cent ,80 cent, 84 cent, 94 cent

Let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

my mailman is an old school mail man he would refuse to take it and he would tell me to go to the post office and get some regular stamps . LOL!!!

I love the idea of this swap. I recently purchase "Wreck this Journal" and it instructs to put stamps from ALL my mail on 2 pages... Yeah its random LOL So this is a PERFECT swap!

Newbie here but would love to join this swap.....! I actually do this a lot in sending international mail b/c I won't just slap too much postage on....lol. Please, please, can I play?

I don't want anyone upsetting their mailman, so no need to go overboard. I just though it would be cool to send some different stamps to people. Anyone can slap the forever Liberty Bell stamp on a letter. But the 27 cent stamps have tropical fruit on them!

My mail lady laughs everytime she picks my packages up. They actually have to take them. Stamps are valid postage. I took a priority mail package in to the post office a couple of weeks ago. The postage was 8.70, and the largest denomination stamp I had was 52 cents and I only had six of those. The rest of them were no more than 32 cents. The lady who took it looked at it and raised her eyebrows , then said "are you sure there is enough postage on it?" I replied that there was 8.70 on it if she wished to count... The package was covered in stamps. I have a bunch of postage stamps left from my father's collection that aren't worth more than postage... I have more stamps than money, so that's what I use to swap with. I'll be joining this one...grin

by the way, I have sent plenty of international letters and packages with multiple stamps. Today I got to 6.20 with 20 stamps on a 6 x 9 envelope...
