In May, everyone here is impatiently waiting for summer. Are you, too? Or maybe you need some comfort in winter blues. One way or another, a reason to party wouldn't be wasted! Check this Bizarre and Unique Holidays' calendar and choose 3-5 options - what would you like to celebrate in May. List these in swap comments. Once the partners have been assigned, check the comments to see what holidays your partner listed, choose one of these, and create them a greeting card. Write inside your greetings and send the card off in an envelope, just as you'd do with any other holiday. To recap: a handmade, folded greeting card with greetings written inside, in an envelope. Please try to choose sufficiently bizarre holidays for your list, not something for which you could buy a card from any supermarket. Religious holidays or national celebrations are not allowed in your list, no matter how bizarre these may seem to you. And, if you wish to get a card for Mother's Day (for example), surely there will be plenty of swaps for those - choose something else for this swap. While you don't have to post your chosen holidays before signing up or right after, you must have done so by sign-up deadline so that everyone would be able to start working on their cards as soon as partners are assigned. Not having your list by the time I want to assign partners will get you dropped from swap. Any medium is allowed to make this card. You may create your card as a collage or scrapbook style, you may draw or paint, you may use a photo you have taken, or any other way, or all of above as long as the result is a greeting card suitable for one of the occasions your partner chose. The only thing you shouldn't do is to send a storebought card. Your card may be as bizarre as you want as well! Don't forget to mention your username and swap name somewhere, either on card itself or in an additional letter/note/swap-card/post-it/whatever. No swappers with unexplained low ratings, no 1s owned to active swappers, no double or underage profiles, or other kinds of questionable swappers, please. You are welcome to PM me if you spot any in my swap. |
