Description:

This journal series was started by Cindi and I’m continuing the rounds. You can join as many as you like and you may jump in at any time.

You will have 1 partner and this swap is International. You only need to send a few sheets of paper, not a whole journal. This way we can share and write and enjoy - and not break the bank! :) (Given the state of the mail these days, though, I highly encourage you to take a photo or keep another type of copy of the swap in case it gets lost in the mail and needs to be re-sent.) Page size is 8.5 x 11 or A4 in size Try not to use margins over .75"-1 inch so you have plenty of room for writing.

This swap can be typed or handwritten - sender's choice. You may add a bit of decoration, but it shouldn't take up too much of the paper - this is a WRITING swap, after all. And, of course, you want to give your partner something to READ! :) Pages can be neatly folded and mailed as a regular letter, though.

And, you can start on it now, if you wish. It's not really partner specific or time specific.

There are 3 sections to this swap. As long as you use size A4 or regular 8.5"x 11" paper. Please use this size paper. But for the number of pages I've removed that restriction. You can make the journal entries as long or short as you like.

If you only want to write a short section or you want to write a long entry that is sort of how it is in a journal. There are days when a few sentences say it all. And there are days when you can't stop writing it all out.

Section 1: What's going on with you right now? or Today? or This year? or This time in your life?

Section 2: WRITING PROMPTS: Pick one or write about multiple prompts. You can select a one word prompt or the longer prompts. Do as many as you like. *Treasure *Theory *Loss *Blues *Research *Gift *Tools *Buildings *Humor

*Travels: Have you traveled anywhere? This can be physical or imaginary like going on a trip or armchair traveling through reading a book or listening to one or watching a movie or show.

*Planners: Time management, how do you stay organized? Do you have a partner to balance or colleagues who take on this function? What systems have you tried or used? Do you prefer randomness and chaos? Or do you blend the two order and chaos?

*Closets: what is your personal style? Do you have one style? One color or season you prefer? How would you describe it? What’s your personal favorite? Do you enjoy shopping? Or do you use personal shoppers or follow style influencers?

*Websites: which are your most used websites? What do you like or dislike about them? Do you also use in person places like an online library and the physical library? How do you find new sites? What new sites have you discovered lately?

*Prompt: Pick a topic that you want to rave about. Share what you like or dislike or feel about this topic. Or muse about this topic.

Section 3: LISTS: Choose a few of these lists of five: 5 people in my life are / 5 fairy tale or manga or Disney Pixar animation or Harry Potter characters / 5 tastes / 5 worst dates / 5 words you wished you had thought of but at the time didn’t say / 5 fruits / 5 excuses / 5 plays/ 5 things I do when it’s hot/ 5 secrets/ 5 friends and a line about each/ 5 Make up your own list/lists

So, that's the 3 sections. You can type/write front/back of the paper, and save paper weight for mailing. Just be sure your ink/writing doesn't show through - make sure your partner can read what you've written. :) Fold the paper neatly and send in an envelope. Be sure your user name & the swap title is on or with the pages. This is for rating, and also if you decide to collect the pages together, it would be nice to see who wrote what later on. :)

My overall idea for the swap is that we would all collect the pages together in a folder or binder to look at later - which is why the page size is so important!
