I've gotten into and seen some fun music swaps since I joined, but I feel that there is a certain genre of music that is being woefully under-represented .... rockabilly. I love rockabilly music, and I'm sure that there have got to be other people on here that are in to it as well. One of the things I love about it is that a lot of the good rockabilly music is from local unknown bands. So, the swap is this: You will make one CD of at least 14 songs to send to 3 partners. Just to make this fun, you can include music from the rockabilly, psychobilly, gothabilly, and swing genres. Examples of bands would include: The Reverend Horton Heat, Ghoultown, Koffin Kats, Richard Cheese, Squirrel Nut Zippers, Chop Tops, Kentucky Headhunters, The Stray Cats, Leningrad Cowboys, and Necromantix, to name a few. So get yer best Buddy or Betty and make a mix that makes you want to jump in your hotrod and blow the doors off of some square. This is a international swap, since CD's are cheap to mail, and newbies welcome with a filled-out profile. No flakers and no no-sends within the last 3 months without explanation. And most importantly, have fun!!! |
