At it’s core, the TGIF notecard is a writing swap, and I am emphasizing that in 2022 by adding the “journals” tag… “journals" as in Journaling (Not blank books! This is still a written Notecard swap!)

Please don’t dash down a couple sentences in your notecard and call it good. Put some time and effort into your writing, treat it like a shared journal entry. Jot down some details, write the Whys and the Wherefors, take a moment with your swap partner!

Tell your partner what exciting or not so exciting things you did this weekend. Did you go out on date night? Go camping? Stayed home and watched the grass grow? Whatever you did, write a note Sunday evening or Monday morning telling all about it.

Your message should be a minimum of a notecard in length, writing on all or most of the blank areas of the card. A notecard is a folded card that goes in an envelope, similar to a greeting card but without the sentiment. You can use stationery instead of a notecard.

Please be aware of the very fast turn around time: Partners are assigned Saturday morning (Swap-Bot time) and your notecard should go out with the Monday mail.

Everyone is Welcome

Newbies: Please fill out your profile, it should be at least a page long. Not-so-perfect Ratings: 1s and 3s are okay, recent and ANY fixable 1s need to be taken care of. All: Please communicate if there's an issue!

Have Fun and Happy Swapping!

Monday October 3 is a National Holiday in Korea and the post office will not be open. It's also not open on the weekend for me to send early. Is it alright if I send on the 4th?

Yes! Since this is an international swap, it's important to take all postal holidays into account! Def okay to send after your holiday. I encourage you to write about your holiday in your TGIF notecard, as well, especially if you are doing something special... I think we all love to learn about different cultures!

Thanks great! I'll sign up. Sadly I'm working because I have a lieu day later on. No long weekend for me :( But I'll be having adventures at work that I can write about.
