I was just wondering if there is a specific reason that the ship date is six weeks out form the sign-up date? It seems like soooo long to wait for fluffy mail. LOL.

Hi KnittingTart! I extended the dates to help accomodate those who are working around social security income. Since their payments arrive at the beginning of the month this gives them plenty of time to shop for yarn and also be able to afford postage. I hope you don't mind the idea of possibly waiting for a bit for your yarn. Hopefully your pal will make it worth you while. ;-)

For everyone else...please know that you don't have to wait until the last day of the exchange to mail your package to your pal. If you have a package ready to go when you receive your partner you can mail it out that day. :-)

Hope everyone has fun! If there's anything at all I can do to make these swaps better please let me know. I'm totally open to suggestions.

My yarn just came in today! SO, as soon as I get my partners addy, I will be sending mine out!! It's soooo pretty, I want it for myself!lol! This will be such a fun swap!

I also love to knit socks, but other kind of yarn is welcome too. I mostly make socks, scarves, pulse warmers, caps, dish cloths and towels.

Partners are assigned and I'm so excited to get this going. I'd like to ask that if you have an international pal that you send your package via airmail. It's not normally all that much more and since yarn is fairly light it shouldn't make much of a difference. If this does present a huge problem please let me and your partner know and do your best to get your package to them sooner rather than later. It really stinks to wait for months to get your yarn. If you have any questions or problems along the way please feel free to drop me a note. Most importantly, have fun!!! :-)

I LOVE sock yarn!! LOVE sock yarn. Hint Hint. I love good quality sock yarn!:) But I'll really take anything. I figured by the end of this new color every month swap I'll robably have a ton of random skeins which is totally fine b/c I'll make a scrap blanket!

Hello everyone...thanks for the extension on the dates...it gets a little crazy $$$ wise....but I already got a skein fo rthis swap so working on the 2nd one...I love the color theme...does anyone know where I can get wooden crochet hooks? All the stores and yarn shops I have been in are all plastic ones????

Windchimes your package was sent last week. I was told it would get to the USA in about 2 days, I sent it as airmail. But they didn't know how long it would take for the package in the USA to get to you.

Sallenlouise I received my package and absolutely love it!!! Thanks so much for everything! The stitch markers are gorgeous and the vase was perfect for the crocus my littlest one picked today. Lorna's Laces is one of my favorite socks yarns and Navy is a color I've not knit yet. Thanks again!

florian, thank you so much for the five skeins of pretty, soft blue cotton yarn, all the way from Norway. I love that you included different coordinating colorways of the same yarn. This will make something special. (I love the aurora, too, and thanks for the bookmark!)

Today when I recieved home from a wonderful holiday in Japan, a gorgeous packet from Heather/winemakerssister was waiting for me. 100 g skein of lovely multicoloured Mountain color yarn, 100g soft merino wool from malabrigo, 4 blue stitch makers and a packet of interesting Numi tea. All items were new to me, so I was thrilled to receive them all. Thanks sooo very much Heather. You are a great swapper. :)

I am still waiting for my package, but it looks like it is coming from the UK. If it was shipped right at the deadline it will probably be a while before it gets here.
