Description:

I love cupcakes. You love cupcakes, too?

For this swap, you will embroider a cupcake onto a piece of fabric 5 inches square. That's it. you don't have to frame it or finish the edges at all. leave that up to the recipient. You can start right away, or wait and see about your partners favourite colours and such.

There's plenty of time until the send date so take your time and make something you would like to receive.

I'm making this International because the finished pieces will be quite light. This is open to all swappers with a rating over 4.5 and newbies with a full profile. No flakers, people! I reserve the right to ban bad swappers, but I'll contact you first.

Okay, get stitchy people!

Do you want us to make something finished with the block??

elizabethofcourse 04/15/2009 #

Tuna, you just have to make a block. The recipient can make whatever they like with it.

Hi Elizabeth, I'm in, my 100 words swap was cancelled and i have finished making all my other swaps, sounds like a fun idea we can make, then make what we receive into something fabulous. the gift that keeps giving lol.

Does it have to be hand-stitched? Can it be hand machine-embroidered, called free-motion quilting. You dont just touch a button and the machine does everything. Also, does it have to be all stitching, or can we add fabric to the picture for depth and texture? @elizabethofcourse could you please email me about this, i would really like to join, but I am terrible at true hand-stitching. Thanks.

I created my own cupcake pattern for this swap and am offering it to everyone on my blog.. you may use it for your own personal use, or even sell the finished product - just please dont sell the pattern or mass produce anything with it. I even finished one for you to see. Here's my blog addy: http://mommasgoodies.blogspot.com
