VJP: Journal Page with Collage Strip Background

Lately I'm all about master boards, collage strips, and so forth...and I found an idea on Pinterest that made me think it would translate to a wonderful journal page! Pretty sure we all have piles of scraps...leftovers from other art projects. I suggest that we take a standard 4x6-inch backing made from mid-weight cardstock or maybe part of an old manila file folder, and start gluing our scraps into strips. Vertical, horizontal...doesn't matter. If you have lots of short little scraps, just glue one after another until your strip is complete. I like the idea of color-coordination, but it certainly isn't a requirement. After the strips are made, add your journal images, such as the flowers and birds on the swap graphic. Embellish thoughtfully, and have a wonderful time making this for your swap partner!
