Sorry for the gap between rounds…

General Information:

For this swap series you will create a small booklet approximately the size of a bank book. A bank book measures approx 3.5”x4.25” when its closed. 7”x4.25” when open. I will be using an actual bank book. You can get them at most ATMs at some banks or ask a teller. If you cannot get a bank book (its becoming harder to find them, just make one with a cover about the thickness of a file folder and copy paper thickness for the inside pages).

Your book should have about 3-4 pages that are sewn in giving us 12-16 pages of art. I have 3 in mine to have it travel quicker. We want to keep these little traveling booklets thin and light so keep that in mind when you are making them, and when you are adding to them.

You can set up your own booklet as you desire, but I do suggest the following: inside the front cover, add your name, swapbot ID, this group name, as well as your address and email. Also, add information such as how many pages you wish each person to decorate. I suggest 2 random pages but maybe you prefer 2 facing pages. One page per person will keep your booklet in circulation for over a year. Also any ‘rules’ such as no sharks, no stickers, etc. Your booklet, your rules.

You can decorate your cover before you mail your booklet out or after it comes back home to you.

On the inside back cover create a sign in area for each artist to add their information.

Each swap will have three prompts to choose from. I decided on this to keep anyone from being unable to add because a prompt doesn’t resonate with them. Also, if people are doing more than one page, they can do two separate prompts.

We will all do at least one spread in our own booklets before sending them out. In order of having the best chance of keeping these from getting lost, please do not send these booklets outside of this group. If at any time, you wish to discontinue taking part, I will always know where your booklet is (god willing, lol) and you will be required to send any booklet in your possession to whoever has your booklet and they will then return your booklet to you regardless of how far along it is.

I will do my best to keep track in the forum of where anyones booklet is at all times.

Please try and commit to being in the series until your booklet is home at the very least or until you receive it to work in. There won’t really be anyway to guarantee that we won’t receive our own booklets along the way to add to, but that is actually a good way to see how our booklet is doing. If, when this happens, you wish to discontinue or send out another booklet instead, you are welcome to.

Just so everyone is aware, I did end up removing on set of pages from my booklet as I thought it would end up too thick.

I plan on keeping this series going as long as possible.

Please confirm on the post in the forum that you have received the booklets from the previous round.
