Description:

Coming from Scotland originally, Mrs. Leandrea Wallis has many celtic roots and looks forward to the festivities around All Hallowโ€™s Eve. She is a fan of the poem โ€œHalloweenโ€ by fellow Scotsman, Robert Burns (1786). She especially loves the Amberleigh bonfire tradition to welcome in the new year. Here is a wonderful article regarding those celebrations.

A lot of our present day Halloween icons such as Frankenstein, and the Headless Horseman from Sleepy Hallow were being introduced in the early 1800โ€™s. Rustic lanterns were carved from vegetables, and games played with apples.

Letโ€™s make something for our partner to represent this time of year. You may use imagery such as ghosts, cats, bats, rats, the moon, apples, pumpkins and such - just please no gore.

Here is a video for our project! Use this for inspiration, you may adjust it to fit your needs and please decorate it appropriately.

SWAP

Letโ€™s make this fun double-flip-out pocket for our partner. Decorate it in an Autumn or All Hallowโ€™s Eve theme. Please include something in each of the three pockets. Include a note from your character about your favorite thing this time of year; the food, weather, traditions or plans for celebrations.

If you have any questions, please comment below. Have fun!!

OOPs sorry folks my screen on my phone was so small reading this swap, I thought it was all about Scotland, but find upon being able to read it properly, it is about Halloween instead. forgive me Nickalli, you might want to post a proper introduction to our members instead of my misappropriation misinformation and misleading info. Again sorry about that.

I had to wrap my head around the swap for a few days also but I see what the intent is - ode to Burn's poem. I'm not big on "modern" Halloween but I think I'll take a stab at this...no ghosts, cats, bats or rats but I can do autumn as Nickalli describes. xx T

I probably should have titled it as โ€œAutumn or Halloween Double FlipOut pocket Swapโ€.
