Description: | |
This will be an international swap For this swap we will be making a picture book in a Jack Ravi style. In order to keep this a light and affordable swap we will be making a 6 page booklet. Jack uses a childrens book as a base, this will be too heavy to send so we will make our own booklet as the base starting point. Your booklet should not be larger than the size of a postcard You do not need to add all the frilly things. Our booklet will be all paper. I encourage you to look at Jack Ravi’s youtube channel to see his creations. For our swap , have a look at this tutuorial here to get an idea of the layout and general vibe. We will make our own booklet . If you need help to start, have a look at this tutorial BitterMelonBindary for some bookbinding ideas. I suggest using a multi media cardstock, it can handle more mediums. And now the part about you. On each of your book pages there should be at least 1 (real) photograph. These will be out of your own personal stash. You can decorate or collage as you want, whatever represents you. Write just one line to describe the picture, and add the date. These (old/recent) photographs can be of yourself, your family, pets, favorite flowers, food, locations, vacations etc. If you need to cut the photographs to fit the pages that’s fine. If you don’t feel comfortable using phototgraphs of yourself or family members that’s fine. Use the other alternatives mentioned above. So to recap: 1 handmade booklet 6 pages no larger than a postcard. There are many mediums you can use to collage the booklet. You can use fabrics, inks, paints, stencils, etc. etc. Theme is sender’s choice. You can send this flat. There is no need for extra paper goodies. Remember to write your name and the name of this swap on or in your envie. If you have any questions or problems, please message me. Have fun creating! |
