Description:

one partner. one DVD. one rule: no american movies. even better... no english-speaking movies. include a note explaining why you picked this selection. feel free to make additional cinematic recommendations as well.

if you live outside the US, this is probably insanely easy. the film doesnt absolutely have to be from your country of origin... just don't send the import version of an american film (no matter how cool it might be to get the japanese version of the matrix or whatever). hmm.... perhaps an import swap should follow...

international (duh). 4.5+. newbies welcome if you've taken the time to complete a pretty descriptive profile. be kind to each other - i'm no angel.

we're all over 18 years of age, so i'm not barring any ratings on this swap, but do think about what your partner might like. if his/her profile is full of pink and sweetness and light and care bears, consider skipping the 12 minute heroin-induced altar boy orgy.

Keep in mind that there are different region codes, so an American DVD player might not be able to play DVDs from Europe (and vice versa).

I think only the newest, most expensive, DVD players are able to play discs from other region codes. I'd love to join this swap 'cause I love foreign flicks, but I have an older DVD player.

most computers will let you switch between region codes in your player on there, BUT only a certain number of times. so don't get stuck on the wrong region if you switch it.

are we able to send copies of dvds or must it be the brand new original in a case?

^^ Am also wondering this. It's easy to copy DVD's to make them regionless.
