Number of swap partners:3
Description:

3 ATCs to 3 Partners. That means you will make 9 ATCs in total for this swap.

This swap is open to newbies as well as established swappers. International players welcome.

I am running this swap as I am still hearing complaints that newbie's feel shut out of swaps. So here is yet another chance to join an ATC swap and get your ratings boosted.

Since the point is not just to practice making ATCs but to build ratings I would hope that all the players would take the time to rate their partners.

Let's be responsible and follow the rules of the swap. Send your swap on time and the basic rules of size of card to be 2.5 inches x 3.5 inches and the paper should be at least cardstock (not made of flimsy paper). Pack your ATCs in a way that they will not be damaged in the mailing process. It is a good idea to put something over your ATC to protect it during mailing such as a plastic trading card sleeve or fold waxed paper around them. (I have had glues melt in the mail and stick to other ATCs.)

Any style, method, theme can be used.

I will not arrange for angels, you are playing with newbie's at your own risk. With that said let's be responsible swappers.

Have fun.

Can they be fabric ATC's or do they have to be paper? :o) Vix

dumb question--christine, 3 atcs EACH? to 3 partners or 3 ATcS TOTAL, 1 to each partner? lin

LeeAnn 05/21/2007 #

Yes, please confirm 1 atc per a partner...I'll join

jbtmykids 05/22/2007 #

Me too! Is it 3 cards total or 9 cards total?

SueFitz 05/23/2007 #

Help....I used to have a template to make labels for my ATCs, but somewhere in cleaning up my documents I deleted it. I was something I downloaded and could either be printed on a whole sheet or on 2 x 4 1/4 labels.

Thanks

Just wanted to reiterate the already asked question... 9 ATCs total? I will join if it is just one each. 9 ATCs all at once is a bit much for an ATC beginner! :)

Sorry for not checking this page, I have been checking private messages only due to busy-ness.

3 ATCs to 3 Partners = 9 ATCs total.

spinjenny 05/29/2007 #

It says at the start of the description "you will make 3 ATCs in total". I think that needs to be changed?

ChristineMM 05/29/2007 #

LOL sorry. I thought it was clear at first saying 3 ATCs to 3 Partners then I went to edit it and put in the wrong number. See in the process of trying to make it more clear I messed it up.

Sorry all.

One thing I told one person in a PM is that the reason I said 3 to one person is that we can usually send 3 ATCs and it is under one ounce, meaning to mail 3 ATCs is cheap. Plus if you love the style of the swapper you had assigned to you, you will probably like getting 3 of their ATCs not just 1 or 2. So that is why I did 3 ATCs to 3 people = 9 ATCs.

If you are a person who makes one style of ATC over several ATCs, such as when using rubber stamps or other easily replicable methods, this is one way to use those up, make 3 of one kind and each partner gets a different one.

Have fun.

My first set arrived in England today, from our talented host ChristineMM. Great cards using 3 different techniques, and lots of technical details too. I am a happy swapper!

Hi everyone! I received three great cards from linpengierhody. Great work - I really love the Memories photo one, using a photo of someone you know rather than 'vintage ephemera' is a nice touch! Thanks!

ChristineMM 06/11/2007 #

Today two envelopes arrived, Kris' hand painted lovely ATCs. A tip: make extras for your swaps and keep your favorite(s) that is what I do sometimes when I can't part with one that I made. With that said I am happy you did send yours off to me!!

Nevada/Carmen yours are so cool. Really nice colors and love the themes. Love them all. Thanks!

Hi Everyone! I received two packs of cards today - both from oveseas. Maddy and saraj715 both came through big-time! Maddy's cards are all fairies, all hand drawn and colored in luscious jewel tones. Saraj715's cards have loads of detail on them. - Victorian imagery with lots of attached embellishments. I really love the 'belted' look of the Inspirations card you made! Excellent technique.

I've received cards from all three of my swap buddies now... and I hope my cards have made it to their new homes, too. Only ChristineNM has signed in... so hopefully they'll show up soon.

Sheila Vanessa, your cards arrived this morning. Very nice - thanks! I've just realised I didn't thank Kristin (hsing3kinder) here when hers arrived so thanks to her too!

FYI to Mermaid Casumi's partners, I also did not get mine. FYI she is from Brazil and she marked her swap was sent on May 31. So I am not sure if the mails are late, if that is the issue.

I rated her a 1 so far. If the swap comes and was postmarked on time I will change it to a 5.

Today Mermaid_Casumi's swap arrived, postmarked June 05 in Brazil and got to me in USA on July 7th. What a long time in the mail. FYI for her other partners, hope yours arrived too.
