Okay, quilters, let's finish something! LOL! Make a small quilt for your partner. It can be miniature, doll size, table topper size and anything in between. Example sizes would be from 8" x 8" to 20" x 20". And it doesn't have to be square, but you get the size idea. A quilt should be a top, batting, and backing. It is usually bound and finished with a small label or signed by the quilter. You can do a whole cloth design, applique, traditional piecing, improvisational piecing, etc. They can be hand pieced, machine pieced, hand quilted, machine quilted or a combination.

Sender's choice, so here's your chance to try out a new technique, use up your scraps or buy a couple fat quarters you've been drooling over. You can start making your little quilt now and have it ready to go.

I will check for potential flakers and please don't join if you don't intend to make a quilt. And as with all swaps, please thank your swap partner by rating. You guys know what it takes to finish a quilt, so please be courteous and thank/rate.

Google "Doll Quilts" and check out the images for inspiration.

man i'd love to do this but i don't think that it's enough time and i can't afford it right now.

I'd like to do this one, but I definitely need more time to do a quality piece. Can the send-by date be moved to mid-late August?

I just wish it was USA.

I would like to join but the directions are to vague. I would hate to make a nice quilty item and get some small item in return when I know what it takes to make a tablerunner etc.

These small quilts should not cost much to mail internationally. If you would like to host a USA only swap, please feel free.

I added more to the description, so I hope it's less vague as to what a quiltie is.

I am watching as I just had eye surgery and will see how quick i recover enough to do fine work. Hoping well enough to join in time. may I suggest you list in quilt search as well you may get more takers.

The good thing about smaller quilts is that you can use lots of scraps from other projects....so this shouldn't be costly to accomplish. I pulled out several of my quilting magazines and went online to look at some patterns to give me inspiration. Please let me know if stitchery in the quilt is acceptable....after quiltmaking , this is one of my favorite things to do!

Any embellishments to the quilties would be wonderful! I'm sure your partner would be thrilled!
